Mother’s Day celebration week ❀ 🌾

Our hearts are full after an incredible week, honouring the amazing woman in our community! From spa treatments to special activities, we pampered our wonderful residents and showed them how cherished they truly are.

We topped off our celebration with delightful entertainment and sophisticated Moscato tasting on our gorgeous sun dappled patio. The smiles and laughter shared were absolutely priceless!

Our community came together today to honour Earth Day with a mindful nature, walk through or our neighbourhood. Residents ventured outdoors to reconnect with the natural world, participating in an engaging activity, where they were encouraged to observe the subtle signs of natures renewal.
Residents delighted in spotting the emerging buds unfurling on tree branches, vibrant flowers painting the landscape with colour and feeling the gentle warmth of sunshine embracing their faces. These shared observations sparked meaningful conversations about seasonal changes and our connection to the environment. During our reminiscence circle, residents shared cherish memories and family traditions of Passover while enjoying traditional holiday music. In a remarkable discovery, two of our residents learned they were born in the same year, lived on the same street, went to the same school and even had some of the same teachers! It’s truly a small world filled with meaningful connections. The joy of these shared experiences brought smiles all around as they rekindled memories and formed new bonds with our community.

Our Chartwell Lansing residents celebrated National Canadian Film Day in style with a special screening of ‘Peace by Chocolate’ - the heartwarming true story of Syrian refugees building a chocolate business in Nova Scotia.

Complete with movie snacks and festive decorations, our cinema experience had everything. “We just need a red carpet!” Joked our residents, before erupting in laughter when someone pointed out the red carpet was already there!

The film was a huge hit, leaving everyone wondering one important question: when do we get to taste that famous chocolate?đŸ«
