Children and Youth in Care Day, celebrated annually on May 14, serves as an opportunity for our community to celebrate the incredible achievements of current and former youth in care across Ontario.

This day is not just about recognition; it is a heartfelt acknowledgment of the immense strength and resilience these young individuals demonstrate in overcoming adversity. This year, as we continue to champion the campaign, we shine a spotlight on the —the small yet significant achievements of young people with lived experiences in Ontario’s childcare system.
Celebrating these little victories is a powerful reminder that every step forward, regardless of its size, is vital in the journey toward well-being and belonging. It only takes one caring individual to help children and youth in and from care feel seen and valued within their community.

On , we invite you to be that person. Engage with us by fostering, volunteering, advocating, or finding ways to uplift these remarkable young people. Together, let us inspire hope and cultivate a nurturing environment that recognizes and celebrates the , making a meaningful difference in their lives.

At Dufferin Child and Family Services (DCAFS), we are dedicated to empowering the children, youth, and adults of Dufferin County through vital mental health, well-being, and developmental supports. However, the journey towards healing and growth often requires more than the foundational funding we receive.

That’s where you come in!

We are reaching out to our community, asking for your invaluable support to fill the gaps that exist in our services.

The Dufferin Child and Family Foundation (DCAFF) plays a crucial role in raising funds specifically aimed at enhancing the quality of life for our community. Your contributions through DCAFF will directly impact the lives of vulnerable children, youth, adults, caregivers, and families, allowing us to provide essential resources and programs that go beyond our core offerings.

With your help, we can ensure that everyone has access to the support they need to thrive. We invite you to join us in our mission, as together we can create a brighter future for the families in our Dufferin community.

Thank you for your continued support!
