Today, Headwaters staff helped to bring awareness to organ and tissue donation by wearing green and raising the “Be A Donor” flag in support of Green Shirt Day and Organ and Tissue Donation Awareness Month. 💚
Within Dufferin‑Caledon, Orangeville is the highest‑ranking community for donor registration. Yet when we look across Ontario, our community ranks 116 out of 170.
By continuing to talk about organ and tissue donation and encouraging people within our community to register and share their wishes, we can help save lives and offer hope to families.

The Sunrise Centre provides compassionate, specialized support for individuals in our community affected by sexual assault and domestic violence (SADV). As one of 32 SADV centres in Ontario, we are committed to offering a safe and welcoming space. These renovations have allowed us to expand our capacity and enhance comfort for every patient who walks through our doors.
The Sunrise Centre is available 24/7, 365 days a year. Those affected by SADV can contact the Centre by calling 519 941 2702, ext. 2519, to speak with a forensic nurse, or by coming to Headwaters’ Emergency Department and requesting to see the physician and forensic nurse examiner. For non-urgent needs, email sadvreferrals@headwatershealth.ca.

Headwaters Health Care Centre is a medium-sized 73-bed acute and complex continuing care hospital, offering both inpatient and outpatient services, as well as an Emergency Department with 24/7 coverage.
The new Eva Heiny Ambulatory Care Wing is home to high-demand clinics, services and programs such as dialysis, chemotherapy, minor procedures, orthopaedics and plastic surgery. Provincial Partnerships such as the Ontario Breast Screening Program and the Mississauga Halton Regional Cancer Program offer expanded outpatient services to residents, close to home.
Headwaters also enjoys a unique service agreement with Dufferin County Paramedic Services, who have been serving this region for over 50 years. Accredited with Exemplary Standing by Accreditation Canada, Headwaters has a team of more than 700 dedicated health care professionals, physicians and volunteers.
Located in Orangeville, Headwaters serves the communities and townships within Dufferin County and Caledon.
Headwaters Health Care Centre’s campus of care is home to a unique award winning collection of 12 distinct gardens and water features, called The Friendship Gardens. With over 400 trees, designed and maintained by a group of 20 active volunteers and supported by community donations, the Friendship Gardens has been created for year-round peace and enjoyment.
