The new Homelessness and Addiction Recovery Treatment (HART) Hub in Simcoe County is fully operational, expanding access to recovery and treatment services for individuals and families facing mental health and substance use challenges.

This is part of Ontarioโ€™s plan to open 28 HART Hubs across the province to improve access to recovery and treatment services for individuals and families facing mental health and substance use challenges.

The HART Hub in Simcoe County offers services across multiple locations, including Barrie, Orillia and Midland. People can walk in or ask questions at the central location on Bayfield Street in Barrie, while services are provided through existing clinics and community sites.

โฐ Itโ€™s time to โ€œfall backโ€!
This Sunday, November 2 at 2 AM, set your clocks back one hour as Daylight Saving Time ends.

Fun fact: Research shows that even one extra hour of sleep can help improve heart health, boost energy, and support mental well-being. ๐Ÿ’ค๐Ÿ’™

Use the time change as a reminder to reset your sleep routine and prioritize rest this season.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Never had a mammogram? Here's what to expect:

Check-in & prep: Youโ€™ll be greeted at the clinic, asked a few questions about your health, and given instructions on removing clothing from the waist up.

Positioning: A technologist will help position your breast on the mammography machine.

Compression: Your breast will be gently compressed to get clear imagesโ€”this usually lasts just a few seconds per view.

Imaging: X-ray images are taken from different angles; the technologist may adjust your position to ensure accuracy.

Finish & follow-up: The process usually takes 15โ€“30 minutes. Your results will be sent to you and/or your healthcare provider.

Take charge of your healthโ€”self-refer and book your mammogram appointment today!

To make a mammogram appointment, call an Ontario Breast Screening Program location or the Appointment Booking Line: 1-800-668-9304
