It’s hard to have words for the magnitude of such a loss but know that if it is or has been part of your path that you’re not alone, your grief is valid and is not a one size fits all, your love is endless and your story absolutely matters.

I get to turn 39 today!! 🎉

I don’t work on my birthday…that’s a pact with myself.
Not gonna lie, this has been a TOUGH year so far but I’m relishing in the end of summer weather.

I used to think that summer birthdays were so much better than fall birthdays… I guess because it feels more alive than fall. But is it really? Fall is still very alive just maybe a little less in your face alive.

As a Virgo gal through and through, I can say that Fall is definitely the season for me. Slow and peaceful.

I take the day off and spend time outside and hang out with dogs and really just observe and enjoy the stage that nature is in right now.
It doesn’t feel sleepy like winter, it just feels like a beautiful closing or transition into rest and repair. Like everything is grounding to pause and reflect.

Oh and I get to have a massage today!!
So happy birthday to me! lol 🎈

This is the place where you see you’re not all alone in the mess.
It might just look like noise… moms and babies everywhere and stuff everywhere.

I’ll tell you what it actually is.

It’s real life. Mothers being themselves. Connection. Friendship. Letting go. Remembering who you were and being reminded that you’re still in there. Learning. Hugs. Baby snuggles. Smiles and laughter. Tears and exhaustion. It’s our postpartum support group.

It’s everything. It’s ALL the things. All the things I wish I had when my babies were babies.

We want you to be there. Wear clothes or pyjamas, we don’t care. The most important part is showing up…even when you’re nervous, even if it’s a lot of work to get here. It’s worth the reward. ❤️

This past weekend we drove a total of 16 hours and crossed country lines to meet this little guy and bring him home.
He is the new addition to our family and his name is Murphy. 🥰 He’s 10 weeks old.

I posted about the sudden loss of our dog…our best little buddy, last month. He was just shy of his 4th birthday.
What I didn’t mention is that he was attacked by our neighbours much larger dog right in front of me at our house. I immediately intervened but he had already suffered too many major injuries to save him. It only took seconds for this to happen.

I have been relatively absent on here because it’s been a crazy month of therapy, puppy searching and feeling every emotion under the sun but we are feeling very happy to be able to give our kids and other dog a new friend/family member.

We now have our own little baby to take care of and are in the midst of some sleepless nights. 😆

Love on your pets, they are so precious! ❤️

And now back to our regular programming of pregnancy, babies,birth and beyond!
