Hi Friends šŸ¤

Live Well is taking a break. The site itself is going to be taking on new directions and shifting focus. As my education and career grows, the blog must grow with me.

The site has been taken down for some construction and restructuring. I will continue to write and create wonderful resources for you all during this time away.

When Live Well returns, there will be new blogs and resources focused on specific areas of mental health and wellness that reflect my education and career path.

I can’t wait to welcome you all back to Live Well in the future.

Until then, Live Well everybody šŸŒž

June so far šŸ’• & this is how you heal. Find things that feel good and fill you up.

For me, that includes reading, cooking, and snuggling with my furriest of friends.

ā€œTaking the time to smell the flowersā€ has been something that I’ve been trying to do more of lately — quite literally.

I find myself aching to slow down, to take a break from the hustle of everyday life and take note of moments that I can stop and enjoy.

Sometimes that means pausing on my walk to smell blooming flowers, or take pictures like a tourist in my own town, or stop and feel the sun warming my skin.

Sometimes doing these things makes me restless; I feel like I shouldn’t be doing ā€œnothing.ā€ However, sometimes the art of doing ā€œnothing,ā€ really is the biggest something šŸ¤

Three things I do daily to keep myself from becoming burnt out:

1) Daily movement!
2) A reliable morning routine, consisting of reading, journaling, and spending time with my cat.
3) Always making sure I’m eating full meals that make me happy.

These three daily practices help combat burnout by giving my body the time, space, and tools it needs to rejuvenate! These three practices give me time with myself to enjoy my own company and unwind.

Additionally, daily movement and whole meals equip my body with lots of happy brain chemicals, like endorphins, that keep my mood regulated and help me be more resilient when facing stress!

These are my favourite ways to combat burnout — what are yours? šŸ¤”
