The classic rehab moment:

Rep 1: “This is easy.”
Rep 3: “Okay wait…”

We see it every time you’re halfway through a rep and we know it’s tough in the moment, but those small reps add up to big comebacks.

Friendly reminder: You should never actually "suffer" in pain! If a movement feels wrong or sharp, tell us! We’re here to help you move better, not just harder.

A lot of people stretch the same spot over and over hoping the tightness will disappear. Sometimes that helps. Sometimes your body is actually asking for strength, not more length.

Here’s a simple way to think about it:
✨ STRETCH IF: You feel stiff after sitting, have a "pulling" sensation at the end of a movement, or wake up feeling like a tin man.
The Goal: Restore your mobility and open up that range of motion.

💪 STRENGTHEN IF: You feel achy when lifting, feel unstable during workouts, or find that stretching only gives you temporary relief.
The Goal: Build resilience. If the tightness keeps coming back, your brain is likely "guarding" a weak area. Progressive loading is the real winner here!

The Golden Rule: Stretch to access the range. Strengthen to keep it.

Save this for later, share it with someone who stretches the same spot every day, and book a visit if you’re not sure what your body actually needs.

Reading can be about learning, escaping into another world, or relaxing after a long day. A good book always delivers. 💆‍♀️

These are a few of the team’s current favorites, and the genres are pretty diverse!

📖 Kelly: The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah
📖 Wendi: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins
📖 Devanshi: Atomic Habits by James Clear
📖Tracy: The Thorn Birds by Colleen McCullough
📖Olivia: A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas

We love discovering new reads! What book should we add to the list?

An MCL (medial collateral ligament) sprain is one of those classic “I twisted weird and now my knee is mad” injuries, especially in sports or quick direction changes.

The MCL helps stabilize the inner part of your knee, and when it’s irritated, simple things like walking, pivoting, or even standing up can feel uncomfortable.

In many cases, structured rehabilitation is needed to restore stability and confidence in the joint.

Physiotherapy often focuses on:
🏃‍➡️ Restoring comfortable knee bending and straightening
🏃‍➡️ Building control through the full range of motion
🏃‍➡️ Strengthening with exercises like controlled squats and knee extension work

If your knee feels sore, stiff, or unstable on the inside, it’s worth getting it looked at. The earlier you address it, the smoother the recovery tends to be.

Shoulder feeling tight when you reach overhead?

Gradually restoring movement is often the key. 💪

Reciprocal pulleys are one of those simple tools that often get overlooked, but they can make a real difference for a stiff shoulder. They allow you to gently work through limited range of motion, especially when your shoulder isn’t moving the way it used to.

They’re easy to use at home and can be adjusted to match exactly what your shoulder needs.

Before adding them to your routine, make sure they’re right for your specific shoulder issue. Our physiotherapists can help you figure that out.

March is Lymphedema Awareness Month, and it’s a reminder that persistent swelling deserves attention. 📣

Lymphedema happens when the lymphatic system isn’t able to properly move fluid, causing it to build up in the body.

It’s more than swelling. You might notice:
👉 Heaviness or tightness
👉 Skin thickening or changes
👉 Reduced mobility
👉 Recurring infections

While there isn’t a cure, lymphedema can be effectively managed with the help of a specially trained Physiotherapist who is a certified Combined Decongestive Therapist.

It includes hands-on lymphatic techniques, compression strategies, guided exercise, and education to help you manage symptoms and stay active.

If this sounds like you or someone you know, don’t ignore it.

Shoulder pain can be sneaky.

One day, it’s a little pinch when you reach overhead…
Next thing you know, lifting, sleeping, or even putting on a jacket feels annoying.

Rotator cuff tendinopathy is one of the most frequent sources of shoulder pain, but with a targeted treatment plan, improvement is very achievable.

Physiotherapy can help by focusing on:
💪 Mobility work for tight shoulder muscles
💪 Scapular stability (your shoulder blade matters more than you think)
💪 Stretching the chest and restoring balanced movement

If your shoulder has been bothering you for a while, we’re happy to help you figure out what’s going on and get you back to comfortable movement.
