Hey everyone, I'm giving a talk at the library this Wednesday. Did you know Orillia sent its militia unit to fight in the Riel Rebellion in 1885? Did you even know we had a militia unit? They got together one night a week to do drill and take target practice, then, with only 18 hours notice, found themselves on a train heading to the northwest where government men had already been killed.
