Eight Limbs has shifted into a quieter, online space.

The in-person studio has closed, but the practice continues — now shared through a small collection of recorded offerings.

Everything now lives on the website, for those who wish to visit. www.eightlimbs.ca

Over the past few weeks, many of you have asked about practicing at home.

I’ve gathered a small collection of recorded classes from the Eight Limbs archives — practices designed to support steadiness, rhythm, and quiet consistency.

These are not new recordings, but familiar practices for those who’ve practiced with me before — and a gentle doorway for those who are new.

The archive is now available for home practice.

A new chapter at the shala. Please follow and support erin & Marco at Sol to Soul 🤍🤍

Back in November, we woke up to the email that Lisa had decided to close Eight Limbs in Orillia. Like many of you, we were devastated—truly in shock and, somewhat selfishly, scrambling to sort out how we could replace this ever-lit beacon of semblance that was about to go out in our lives. We were in New York that morning, and amidst the disappointment (that we almost couldn't discuss with each other, for fear that it would make the studio's closure that much more real!), we proceeded to walk out of our BnB to a parking ticket and then into one of the weirdest "yoga" classes we have ever been to. What were these messages?! On a sullen drive back to Canada, we had absolutely no idea we were going to be sharing this awesome news with the local yoga community a month later.

Woot! Woot! We are doing it—or as Marco says, "IT is doing us!".
As of January 1st, we are proud to serve as the new stewards of 8 Peter St. South, taking up the torch that many great people have kept burning for so long now. What a lineage to be stepping into! Thank you to everyone that has held space at the studio (in all of its iterations!), making this possible for us and the other students that practice here. 💛

We have to start by saying, this was NOT in the plans!
"You bought me a what for Christmas?!?" is our new family joke.
But we are going with the flow to the max right now and trusting the process that has found its way into our lives.

Over the years, one thing we have learned together is that big things need time and love to grow steadily.
This is how we have decided to take this transition (for all of us, really).
Please trust that we know that time away from the studio will undoubtedly affect EVERYTHING about your practice—it is already affecting our own, and we are admittedly struggling to balance the bustle of the season and the hustle of this new venture, sometimes gracefully and sometimes not.

To properly serve the community and the traditions of Yoga and Ayurveda, we are going to take a couple of months to settle in, customize the upcoming schedule, and offer the space, the teachers, and ourselves some rest.

That said, we are already deep in next steps and can't wait to share more with you over the coming weeks.
Honouring where we have come from, we will be keeping some of your favorite aspects of the Eight Limbs experience (10am Hatha, Happy Hips, amazing teachers!).

Breathing in new life, we are excited to introduce some new people and practices to the studio (Meditation classes, an Ayurvedic clinic, Kids' Yoga!).
We will start small and at the core, and then grow the magic!

For more info, please keep an eye out for our coming website or reach out directly to us by email at soltosoul@live.com.

As we close one year and open this new one, we wish you the very best of 2026.
We can't wait to serve you at Sol to Soul Yoga and Ayurveda.

In kindness,
erin and Marco 🪷

Tonight is Jenn’s last class at Eight Limbs, and even though I can’t be there in person, I couldn’t let this day pass without saying thank you.

Jenn, I have such deep respect for you — not only as a teacher, but as a presence in this space. It has meant a great deal to share this journey and this place with you. Your steadiness, care, and integrity have quietly shaped this community, and your teaching has held people with honesty and heart.

Thank you for the time, the energy, and the love you’ve given to Eight Limbs. I am deeply grateful.

As we move into December, I’m inviting you to join me for these final weeks of practice at Eight Limbs.

There’s an undeniable energy that forms when people practice together — steady, grounding, and supportive in a way that’s difficult to find on our own.
It helps distractions fade, the breath steady, and concentration sharpen in a way that’s hard to access alone.

These final weeks are an opportunity to experience that shared energy…
to show up, to move, to breathe, and to be held by the presence of one another.

I would love to share this time of practice with you.

Dear Eight Limbs community,

Yoga teaches us to accept the truth of impermanence —  each chapter has its own beginning, middle, and natural close. With that in heart, I’m writing to share that Eight Limbs Yoga will be closing on Friday, December 19, with our final class at 10am that morning.

This decision has grown slowly and thoughtfully over time. The past few years have brought many changes, and it became clear that I can no longer sustain the full schedule and responsibility of running the shala. Though this choice is difficult, it is the right step for me at this time.

What I want you to know most is this:
our practice is what carries us — not the walls around us.
Yoga meets us wherever we are: on a studio floor, beside a bed at sunrise, in a quiet corner of our home. Breath, movement, and presence have sustained us through so much, and they will continue to carry each of us forward long after the doors of Eight Limbs close.

My intention has never been to give you a practice, but to help you uncover the one that was already yours.
Your breath, your awareness, your growing steadiness — these are the true teachers. The wisdom you’ve cultivated here doesn’t stay within these walls ; it lives within you, ready to meet you wherever you unroll your mat next.

Thank you for your presence, your trust, your breath, and your willingness to show up. This community has been one of the deepest honors of my life.

These past six years have meant more to me than I can say. Each of you has brought something unique into this space — your courage, your softness, your curiosity, your stories. Teaching you has been a privilege, and every class has left an imprint on my heart. Thank you for allowing me to share this journey with you.

With gratitude for every moment we’ve shared,
and with deep respect for your practice.

More to come in the following days

No classes tonight.
I pushed a bit too hard this morning and have lost my voice, so I’m taking the evening to rest and recover.

Thank you so much for your understanding and patience. 🫶✨

We tend to think spiritual growth means becoming someone wiser, calmer, more elevated. But over time, I’ve realized it’s really a softening — a letting go of needing to be anyone at all. This quote always reminds me that the most genuine awakening is profoundly ordinary.

🕊”Do not think that enlightenment is going to make you special, it’s not. If you feel special in any way, then enlightenment has not occurred. I meet a lot of people who think they are enlightened and awake simply because they have had a very moving spiritual experience. They wear their enlightenment on their sleeve like a badge of honour. They sit among friends and talk about how awake they are while sipping coffee at a cafe. The funny thing about enlightenment is that when it is authentic, there is no one to claim it. Enlightenment is very ordinary; it is nothing special. Rather than making you more special, it is going to make you less special. It plants you right in the centre of a wonderful humility and innocence. Everyone else may or may not call you enlightened, but when you are enlightened the whole notion of enlightenment and someone who is enlightened is a big joke. I use the word enlightenment all the time; not to point you toward it but to point you beyond it. Do not get stuck in enlightenment.”(Adyashanti)

✨️ Inner Spaciousness
Freedom | Moksha ✨️

Thank you to everyone who joined practice this morning — your presence and energy created such a beautiful shared space.

Today we explored spaciousness — the way breath expands within us, the way awareness widens when we soften our grip on effort.
In those quiet moments at the end of class, when body and mind dissolve into stillness, we may catch a glimpse of moksha — inner freedom.

Moksha doesn’t mean escaping life, but rather being fully present within it — unbound by our stories, our fears, or our striving. Through practice, we learn to return again and again to that vast inner sky where nothing is missing and nothing is held too tightly.

🕉️ May your day unfold from that spacious place.
