Itโ€™s much easier to stay complacent than to get out of your comfort zone. Itโ€™s much easier to stay by the sidelines than to get into something new that may seem risky.

Your ego may want you to play it safe. But your soul is up for something more expansive. Understand that struggle is part of it. It means you are ALIVE!

When you can see struggle as a learning opportunity, as a way of stretching your brain, and testing new waters, then you wonโ€™t judge your actions as a failure or a success.

Saw the ENT (ear, nose & throat dr.) yesterday afternoon & got 2 thumbs up on my broken nose, fractured cheek and perforated sinus. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

My 2 top concerns were:
1. He'd want to reset my nose (ouch) ๐Ÿ‘ƒ
2. There'd be major sinus damage

But he assured me all was good. I continue to take things easy as I heal but am waking with a little extra bounce in my step today. ๐Ÿ™†โ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ’ƒ

Hey all!

I wanted to post an update since my accident Sunday as I have had to cancel all sessions this week both online with Zoom abd in person at the MGF Gym.

For those that didn't know, I was playing ball and caught a pop fly with my face breaking my nose and fracturing my cheek.

While at the hospital I would rate my pain a 6 or 7 out of 10.
I declined pain meds as I did not feel my pain was so bad I'd need anything more than over the counter medication.
By end if day Sunday I rate my pain 3/10.

DAY 2
I woke up Monday feeling a 4/10.
I napped quiet a bit spending the entire day on the couch icing my face, running TraumaCare and taking Quick Release Extra Strength Tylenol to manage any pain.

Swelling and bruising was visibly coming I throughout the dsy

DAY 3
I woke up this morning with a bit of a headache and mild ringing in my ears, with even more swelling on my left side. I attribute this to the swelling not due to a concussion.
As I like to keep my spirits high and laugh at the whole situation, I like to compare myself to a chipmunk hoarding nuts for a long hard winter.
I continue to ice my face, nap and am also rubbing essential oils to decrease swelling/bruising & taking vitamins to encourage bone healing.

It is my hope to resume seeing clients Monday July 26th.

Strength isn't just about lifting weight and building muscle.

Strength is within you from the journey you've traveled to be here today.

Iโ€™m not going to tell you that my life has ever been easy.
Thereโ€™s been many times Iโ€™ve been on my knees, struggling to survive and fighting to keep going.
Sleepless nights, endless tears and moments of overwhelming frustration are just part of my journey.
Iโ€™d never take back where Iโ€™ve been nor wish for an easier road.
I know that everything happens for a reason and Iโ€™ve gone through the fires to build a better stronger me.
People often compliment me and remark what a strong person I am, but theyโ€™ll never know the price Iโ€™ve paid to become the warrior that I am..
And they donโ€™t have to.
I look in the mirror every morning and realize that there is nothing that can take me down, tear me apart or stifle my success.
I may not always have it all together or know where Iโ€™m going, but I do know who I am and that no matter the storms that life throws at me, Iโ€™ll always be fine.
Truthfully, so many things should have broken me, ruined me and swept me under..
But survival was never just another option for me..
It was the only choice.
So, I did whatever it took, however I could, to keep my head up, keep pushing forward and I always kept smiling through it all.
Sometimes, you donโ€™t realize how strong you are until being strong is your only option..
So, those times on my knees, when I could only see the darkness, I dug deep, fought harder and refused to loseโ€ฆ
Myself, my dreams or my way.
It doesnโ€™t mean that there arenโ€™t days that I donโ€™t want to get out of bed, times when my smile is harder to come by and I donโ€™t know how Iโ€™m going to conquer my day..
But I always find a way, figure it out and never lose sight of the light.
Iโ€™ve learned that fire in your heart, passion in your spirit and magic in your soul is the ultimate recipe for strength.
I still have to remind myself to find my joy and seek happiness, but those wonderful things are always there, just waiting for me to see them.
So, at the end of the day, Iโ€™m proud of who Iโ€™ve become, happy with who Iโ€™m becoming and most of all, ready to turn these claws of survival into the wings of my growth.
Watch out world,
