One thing we WISH we’d prepared more for? Food.
Not just for the baby - for us.
Here’s what worked best for keeping us fed, fueled & feeling human:
🍽️ Have a Meal Plan (That Doesn’t Involve You Cooking)
Whether it’s:
✅ Freezer meals
✅ A meal train
✅ Gift cards for takeout
✅ Weekly meal delivery...
..having a plan in place made all the difference.
And let’s not forget...
🥜 SNACKS!!!
In those early weeks postpartum (especially while breastfeeding), the hunger hit HARD. Having easy, grab-and-go snacks on hand was crucial.
Our go-to favs:
- PerfectBars
- Paleovalley Beef Sticks
- Almonds
- Oat Bites from Costco
- Lactation Cookies from a local chef (soooo good)
🌟 Pro tip: Keep snack baskets by your nursing station, bedside and couch!
Feeding yourself is not a luxury. It’s survival.
Make it as easy as possible - because you deserve to be cared for, too. 💛
