Let’s talk about
This month we’re exploring and . We couldn’t NOT talk about pain since it is a big source of discomfort and one of the reasons we seek out comfort.
Pain can show up in our lives physically, emotionally, mentally or . Examples of this are heartbreak, mental stress, isolation, and chronic body pain.
So, how do we navigate the cycles of pain in our lives?
1. connect to it
If it feels safe to engage your pain, simply allow yourself to be with it. This means opening the door to it in your and instead of shutting the door to it and wanting it gone. Simple with the intention to compassionately connect with your pain works nicely.
2. listen to it
As you allow your pain to be present in your awareness and body, begin to see/feel/know/sense what it is trying to say if it had a voice. Ask your pain questions like:
What do you need from me?
What do you need to heal?
What is important for me to know about you?
3. respond to it
As you receive wisdom from your pain, take the steps to respond to its (your) needs. Whatever that may be - externally or internally.
These processes do not have to be done in tandem or at the same time. Simply connecting to your pain with compassion is enough to find an avenue to healing.

Discomfort. It’s … well, uncomfortable.

Some of us spend a lot of time, money and/or energy to avoid feeling discomfort emotionally, physically, socially, mentally or spiritually.

What if we took a moment to feel our instead?

Asked it a few questions and stuck around long enough to listen.

What messages would your discomfort have to share?

Living with the intention to be connected, and curious is soul-led living.
💫
It can also can bring us into relationship with discomfort and in a more noticeable and way than if we were not aiming to live in a soul-led way.
💫
When we turn off the numbing, escaping and auto-piloting in our lives, sometimes we are met with great discomfort. This is not wrong or bad. It just is the reality of what we feel.
💫
In the cyclical flow of life, there are times of discomfort and times of comfort. They both exist and they both serve an important purpose in our and life path.
💫
What would happen if you were able to feel and with the (dis)comfort in your life with curiosity and ? To meet with these states of being and recognize what they are communicating, needing and doing for you.
💫
Let’s talk about that! Check out the (dis)comfort journal and deepen into your relationship with (dis)comfort by visiting our bio.
