It claims to be the best new thing for weight loss but I would have to disagree- ESPECIALLY for women's hormonal health 💗

Weight loss is not one size fits all. I know people who used intermittent fasting and it worked well (mostly men) and those who it caused more problems for. What are your experiences? 👇🏻

Unfortunately, you could be fearing it due to the low-fat craze of the 90s that is still lingering and false! ❎

Whole-food in it's original form is always best ✨🐄Good old fashioned butter from grass-fed cows is better for you than manipulated vegetable oils with tons of additives you can't even pronounce.

One of the most common questions I’m asked is "Can I eat carbs?" 🤔

The diet industry has villainized certain foods 👺 - carbs is one of the most popular. But it is an industry that is designed to fail so we keep coming back. Is this who we want to listen to? 🙅‍♀️

The key is knowing what carbs to avoid (simple carbs like white bread, white rice, pasta, baked goods, sugar) and how much complex carbs (as listed in the post⬆) you actually need.

It is all about being well informed so you can better fuel your body 🍽

There can be so much conflicting voices and trends in the nutrition world which is why I am doing this mini series called ✨Myth Munchers✨. It is your go-to weekly series for busting common nutrition myths, breaking down what’s true (and what’s just trending), and helping you make food choices that actually feel good—no guilt, no gimmicks, no greenwashing🤍

This week's tip: Eat more healthy fats 💛

Why is this important for hormonal health? ⬇

✨Fats are a key player in the transportation of hormones. They can also aid in brain function and reducing inflammation. ✨

And healthy fats, such as:
🐄🌱grass fed butter
🥑avocado oil
🥜all natural nut/seed butters
🥥coconut oil
🍣salmon

☝️these are your go-to's

We want to stay AWAY from fats such as canola oil, vegetable oil and cottonseed oil (found in kraft peanut butter) as they cause inflammation and disrupt hormones instead of helping them.

Spearmint tea and green tea is for YOU!🍵

A meta-anaylsis research paper from 2021 stated that the consumption of these teas had significant effect on balancing blood sugar levels and reducing body weight.

Research has shown that "green tea, not only has the above effects, but also has a significant effect on improving a variety of reproductive hormone indexes"🌼

With Spearmint tea in particular, they "observed reductions in androgen levels"⬇️
