Worried weight loss programs are “too expensive”?
It’s a common concern — but let’s put things into perspective.
Many of us don’t realize how quickly the cost of eating out, grabbing snacks on the go, or overindulging in our favourite foods really adds up. Week after week, those little extras can cost far more than you think.
At Herbal One, our weight loss program isn’t just about the scale — it’s about balance, support, and building habits that help you save money while becoming a healthier version of yourself.
💚 With personalized meal planning, supplements, and one-on-one coaching, you’ll find that investing in your health today can lead to long-term savings tomorrow — both financially and physically.
Because the truth is:
🌿 Feeling better in your body, having more energy, and knowing you’re taking care of your health is truly priceless.

"Humble enough to know I'm far from perfect. Confident enough to know I can do anything I set my mind to."
A growth mindset is a belief that you can improve and grow with effort and practice.
Embracing a growth mindset will allow you to view setbacks as opportunities to learn, grow, and become better. More importantly, it will enable you to respond to your mistakes with curiosity and kindness rather than judgement.
Remember, "a small detour doesn't mean that you have to stop! It just means that it may take a little longer to get there".
This is your morning reminder that you are worth as many tries as it takes.
Keep going!

We blinked and now summer is wrapping up. For many this means the return of structure and routine as kids head back to school and summer vacations come to an end.

But waiting until September to practice healthy habits is not the answer.

We understand that summer months can pose a challenge due to social functions, camping trips, and travel plans. However, waiting until September to begin a lifestyle change is the very definition of procrastination.

Taking the summer “off” from eating healthy and exercising only brings you further from your goals and will make adjusting to a busy fall schedule much more difficult.

You are better off to focus your efforts NOW before the chaos of the “Back to School” season hits. By embracing healthy habits now, planning meals in advance and/or prepping healthy freezer meals you will be ready to tackle September like a boss.

“Don’t put it off! Take it off!”

We will be closed Monday, September 1 for Labour Day. We are open Saturday, August 30 from 9 am - 12 pm.
Have a wonderful long weekend. 🙂

Pumpkin Squares
Serves 8
1 serving = 1 one choice
Ingredients:
2 cups cottage cheese
3 large eggs
1 cup pumpkin (not pie filling)
1/2 cup almond flour
1/2 cup brown sugar Swerve (calorie-free sweetener)
2 tbsp pumpkin pie spice
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp baking powder
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F, grease a 9×9-inch dish, and mix everything in one bowl. Whisk the cottage cheese, eggs, pumpkin puree, brown sugar Swerve, and vanilla extract until the texture is creamy. Mix in baking powder, pumpkin pie spice, and almond flour. After adding the mixture to the dish, level the top. Bake for 40–45 minutes until the center sets and a toothpick comes out clean. Let it cool before slicing into eight equal squares.
Optional - top with a dollop of vanilla Greek yogurt or whipped cream.
Enjoy. 🎃

Waiting won’t get you closer.
Quitting won’t get you anywhere.
Progress isn’t about perfection—it’s about persistence.
You won’t always feel ready.
You won’t always feel motivated.
But the difference between those who move forward and those who stay stuck is simple: they keep going.
So stop waiting for the "right time."
Stop thinking about giving up.
Yes — it’s hard.
Yes — it takes time.
The journey might be slow, but quitting guarantees you’ll never get there.
Stay committed, trust the process, and remember — you’re building something that lasts.

Sometimes the version of you that wants to quit, just needs the version of you that knows better, to step in and parent with love, patience, and a plan!💜💚
Think about it:
• How many times have you prepared a healthy meal for your child, even when they didn’t want it?
• Limited screen-time because you knew what was best?
• Stuck to a bedtime routine because you understand the importance of rest?
• Encouraged outdoor play and movement, even when they resisted?
You stick to these habits because you care. Because you see the benefits. Because you love them.
But here’s a question we don’t ask enough:
What if you parented yourself the same way?
What if you stopped treating yourself like an afterthought and started showing up with that same compassion, structure, and care?
Next time you're tempted to abandon your healthy routine, pause and ask yourself:
“What would Mom do?”
Deep down, you know when you're self-sabotaging or trading long-term goals for short-term relief.
So, when you feel like throwing a tantrum, how can you lovingly soothe your inner child without food or drink?
✨ Try one of these healthy coping tools:
🛁 Bubble bath
🕯️ Scented candles or essential oils
🧸 Weighted or heated blanket
👁️ Soothing eye treatment
🤲 Face or hand mask
🚶‍♀️ Walk outdoors
📖 Read or journal
📞 Call a friend
😴 Take a nap
Create a go-to list of nurturing, non-food comforts. You’ll learn through trial and error what works best for you.
💬 Do you parent yourself?
What’s your go-to tip, trick, or technique when your inner child starts acting up?

Choosing not to record in your food diary is like going on a shopping spree without checking your finances first.

Every food choice that you make is either a deposit or a withdrawal from your health account. We are here to encourage smart investments.

A food diary can help you understand your eating habits and identify patterns that do not align with your health goals. It will also highlight if you are eating too much (or not eating enough). Keeping a food diary will ensure that you have an accurate record of your dietary intake. This will ensure that your coach provides appropriate feedback and guidance to support safe, healthy weight loss.

You do not need to keep a food diary for the rest of your life but it is a very important tool while you are learning to balance your daily nutrition. It doesn't mean that you are obsessing over every single calorie but merely recording data and making adjustments to support your desired outcome.

Do you plan your meals in advance or do you record your food choices after you have eaten them?
