BREAKING: World Joins Americans in Massive "No Kings" Protests as Trump Gets Globally Rejected
Donald Trump is not just unpopular at home. Millions of people across Europe, Australia, and beyond flooded the streets on Saturday to stand in solidarity with Americans during the third wave of "No Kings" demonstrations, sending a loud and unmistakable message to the 79-year-old president.
In Rome, protesters marched under a massive banner calling for "a world free from war." In Paris, handmade signs declared "No Kings" in French. Madrid saw crowds carrying "Power to the people" placards. Berlin demonstrators invoked the language of authoritarian history, with one sign reading "No leader principle in the USA," a direct reference to Nazi-era doctrine demanding blind obedience. Amsterdam protesters asked simply: "WTF America." In Athens, marchers gathered outside the U.S. embassy behind a banner reading "no to war." And in Sydney, one sign cut right to the point: "We can't stand him either."
Back in the United States, more than 3,000 protests were scheduled from coast to coast, covering everything from Trump's immigration crackdown to the soaring cost of living. In Washington, D.C., demonstrators carried an inflatable effigy of Trump as they marched near the White House.
Army veteran Naveed Shah, an organizer with Common Defense, captured the mood: "When I stood at the first 'No Kings' rally, we were fighting to protect democracy at home. Today we're still fighting that same fight, but now that manufactured crisis has gone global."
The movement has grown with every outing. The October rally drew more than seven million participants, up from five million in June. MoveOn executive director Katie Bethell called on members to keep showing up peacefully, saying the country deserves better than what Trump and his administration are doing to it. Actor Robert De Niro spoke at the New York rally, declaring the administration "a threat to the American people at every level."
The White House dismissed the demonstrations entirely.
