Toxins make you FAT. Seriously, they do

So much so that a new category of fat-inducing chemicals has been given it’s own name-obesogens. When your body gets an influx of these chemicals it doesn’t know how to break them down, so it stores them as FAT! Sad right?

Thank you, Dancers, who came from OK Falls, Oliver and Osoyoos, and THANK YOU, OSCA (Osoyoos Activity Centre), for letting us bring the GIFT of Dance 2023 to you! OSCA committee trusted us with this idea, and we were grateful to teach you basic Social Dance (Swing, Rumba, Waltz, Salsa...) and set your feet and soul on fire...
We started volunteering our skills January-April 2023, worked like crazy in Summer (like everyone else has to), and resumed Dance Classes Nov-Dec. 2023.
During these times we got to know some of you better, and loved sharing Dinner and good times in your home. Thank you for that special friendship!
Let's Dance some more in 2024!

The morning sun. The warmth of the sunshine on your skin. A burning candle. The calmness of a soft white light bulb emitting its glow through the shade of lamp to set the mood of a room. Light is not just to help us see, or to illuminate a space, it can help us heal!
Light isn’t really even a thing. Or at least not by itself. Rather, light (photons) are packets of quanta that transmit energy and information. To transmit energy or information, it must have a source, a direction, and a destination. Photons can be seen as conduits; we may even look at them as messengers. These little quanta express behaviors of both particles and matter. For BEMER purposes, let's call them “wavicles.”
These wavicles interact with particles, matter, and material. When they are absorbed, they transfer the energy that they were transmitted with/from. Remember, energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be transformed. So, what happens when light interacts with our skin, or even deeper within our body?
The human body is covered both inside and on its surface with receptors that are specifically designed to absorb specific wavelengths of light. Of course, that is what makes our skin pigments different due to the melanin content. But there are also receptors deep within our body, deep within our cells, that absorb light and use it as a source of energy!
The most well-known and understood concept of how light interacts with the human body (photobiology and photochemistry) is known as PhotoBioModulation (PBM). The mitochondria, which are the powerhouses of our cells, have receptors within their inner membrane that absorb specific wavelengths of light (red and infrared), and use the photons as an activation energy to drive energy production through the Electron Transport Chain (ETC).
When light goes in, energy in the form of Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) comes out. When we have more energy, we can do more work. From a cellular metabolism perspective, that means better function and more stable structure. From a beauty perspective that means younger, healthier-looking, and more vibrant skin. It's not just a fad. Health is in fashion. Skin is in! Are you?
