Training Opportunity: Nurturing Resilience Across the Lifespan: Culturally and Contextually Sensitive Approaches to Promoting Wellbeing.
Led by Dr. Michael Ungar, this one-day interactive workshop will explore practical, culturally informed strategies to support resilience and wellbeing across diverse populations and settings. Drawing on international research and clinical experience, Dr. Ungar will share evidence-based approaches that can be applied in community, educational, and therapeutic contexts.
This workshop is ideal for health care workers, social workers, psychologists, and psychotherapists who are seeking meaningful, practical tools to strengthen resilience in the individuals and communities they support.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Michael Ungar, Ph.D. is the founder and Director of the Resilience Research Centre at Dalhousie University where he holds the Canada Research Chair in Child, Family and Community Resilience. In 2022, Dr. Ungar was ranked the number one Social Work scholar in the world in recognition of his ground-breaking work as a family therapist and resilience researcher. He is the author of over 20 books, most recently “The Limits of Resilience: When to Persevere, When to Change, and When to Quit."
