UOHS (University of Ottawa Healthcare Symposium) Student run conference to promote, inspire and inform students about career paths in healthcare.

The University of Ottawa Health Symposium (UOHS) is a undergraduate health care conference that aims to promote student interest in healthcare. UOHS aims to be an important event for bright and motivated students who aspire to become healthcare professionals. Our goal is to provoke discussion on the many facets of health care, both practical and research based, and to explore the shifts in health

care in an ever-changing Canadian demographic. In 2011, the inaugural conference with the theme of “Innovation in Health Care” was held, and featured seminars by a variety of renowned healthcare experts. With an attendance of over 150 delegates, 6 seminar speakers and 2 keynote speakers, UOHS was a great success and became a unique resource for university students to educate themselves and initiate change in the Canadian health care community.
