Honoured to sponsor the 8th annual Working Stronger conference, hosted by CMHA Alberta and Centre for Su***de Prevention and Centre for Su***de Prevention, taking place October 28–29 in Edmonton, Alberta.

This year’s theme, “Best practices, inclusive strategies, and creative solutions to address unique challenges and build workplaces where individuals and organizations flourish”, perfectly aligns with our mission to create psychologically healthy and safe workplaces where everyone can thrive.

We’re proud to support an event that brings together leaders, innovators, and advocates to strengthen the conversation around mental health in the workplace.

Sometimes silence feels safer. Safer than saying “I’m not okay” or asking “Are you really alright?”

But silence can be heavy. It can sound like distance, feel like indifference, and leave people alone with what they’re carrying.

Speaking up isn’t easy, neither is reaching out. But that’s where safety starts. In the moments we choose honesty over comfort.

Check in with others. Speak gently. Be the reason someone feels safe to be real.

In the world of optimization, we often chase progress. The reality is, sometimes not everything can, or should, be measured.

Sometimes doing nothing is exactly what we need.
To Rest. To Pause. To Heal.
Progress looks neat. Healing may not.
It whispers. It stumbles. It grows anyway. And that's okay!

But being human, making mistakes, feeling deeply, living fully, is its own kind of productivity.
It’s time to rethink what it means to truly be productive.

“When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’” — Fred Rogers

There’s a lot happening in the world, and it’s easy to feel unsure how to support.

The truth is, sometimes it's simpler than you think.
It can be a message that says “thinking of you,” a moment to really listen, or a small act that makes space for someone’s mental health. Getting trained in mental health builds the confidence to recognize, respond, and support others, turning intention into action.

The way we show up for each other matters. However you choose to show up, it makes a difference. Get certified in Mental Health First Aid: https://ow.ly/4sAo50XecM7

Creating a positive workplace isn’t just about policies, it’s about people.

Every time you choose empathy, offer support, or make space for someone to be themselves, you’re helping build a culture rooted in kindness and trust.

Be the reason someone believes in the goodness in people.💙

Disclosure is always a choice, but that choice should never feel like a risk.

Nearly half of employed Canadians are living with a mental illness, but most haven’t felt safe enough to disclose it at work.

A psychologically healthy and safe workplace makes space for openness without pressure, understanding without judgment, and support without stigma, no matter what someone chooses to share.

Today is World Mental Health Day. World Mental Health Day, established by the World Health Organization (WHO), is observed each year to raise awareness of mental health issues and promote collective action for better mental health worldwide.

Every space we share, at home, at work, in our communities, shapes how people feel and how freely they can show up as themselves.

We all have the power to make that space one of understanding, openness, and care. 💙

So today, and every day, ask yourself: What kind of space will you make?

We make space for courage. But courage can take many shapes.

As World Mental Health Day approaches, we’re reminded that the tools to make space for mental health already live within us, our empathy, our voice, our willingness to show up with courage and compassion.

Courage isn’t always loud or visible, but it’s always powerful.

Our voices have the power to create change.
When we speak without shame or judgment, we open the door for others to do the same, creating space for empathy, connection, and support.

This World Mental Health Day, remember: the tools to make space for mental health are already in our hands. Let’s use our voices with courage and compassion to build a culture where everyone feels safe to be heard.

In a world that moves fast, slowing down to notice is an act of care.

Giving someone your full attention, listening, noticing, and being present, is a simple but powerful act that can make space for mental health to be seen, heard, and supported.

So today, let's ask ourselves: Where can I give my full attention and create space for care?

Join Opening Minds and Dignii for an exclusive roundtable bringing together leaders in HR, DEI, and workplace wellness to explore what truly drives psychologically healthy and inclusive workplaces.

In today’s evolving work landscape, psychological health and safety isn’t just a perk, it’s a foundation for trust, retention, and performance. Yet, many organizations still treat mental health and inclusion as separate initiatives, missing the opportunity for real, lasting impact.

Together, we’ll unpack:
● How to effectively measure and monitor psychological health and safety organization-wide
● Hidden gaps that hold back EDI and mental health strategies
● Why data, lived experience, and action must work hand-in-hand
● How leading organizations are weaving inclusion and well-being into their culture

Seats are limited as the event is quickly approaching, reserve your spot today!
