Hi friends, I'm Ingrid. I'm a registered holistic nutritionist with a specialization in mental health.

I work with people who would like to improve their mental well-being in natural ways, or as a complement to their existing treatment.

What you'll find on my page are helpful tips to improve your mental and physical health through nutrition and lifestyle. What you absolutely WON'T find are industry buzzwords or trends, scare tactics, or products for sale.

Every client I see has only made me more convicted in my belief and knowledge that what we feed ourselves - our body, mind, and spirit - directly impacts our mental health. And we can change it, for the better.

I've also experienced it in my own life: decades of enduring anxiety and panic disorder only disappeared after putting into practice the information I will share with you.

The brain is our body's greediest organ!

Even though it is only 2% of our total weight, the brain absorbs 20-30% of the nutrients that we consume and needs a constant supply of quality fuel. Without this vital nourishment, the body works to conserve the available nutrients, prioritizing keeping you alive while sacrificing mental well-being and energy levels. (Brain fog, anyone?)

And just like an expensive car, your brain can be damaged if you ingest anything but premium fuel (such as what you get from processed or refined foods) - it has little ability to get rid of them, promoting inflammation.

Multiple studies have shown that a diet that produces inflammation can lead to cognitive decline and depression, and a diet high in refined sugars can worsen symptoms of mood disorders, like depression.

Emerging research is now proving what the body has always known: the food that we eat directly impacts our mood, and can even influence mental health outcomes.
