I remember being pressured to smoke when I was 4 years old.
😳
Yeah… crazy, right?
Looking back, I sometimes wonder: who pressured the kids who pressured me?
Because that cycle keeps repeating. Even today, so many people start smoking—even knowing it’s not good for them.
And let’s be honest… it tastes awful, makes you lightheaded, and your clothes end up smelling like an ashtray.
And the ironic part?
When we were younger, the “cool” thing wasn’t even real ci******es—it was those Popeye’s candy ci******es.
We’d walk around pretending to smoke, thinking we looked so grown up… not realizing what it was subtly teaching us.
For years, I was the friend trying to help people quit. I tried everything—essential oils, hypnosis audios, “healthier” options, different tools… anything that might help.
But nothing really worked.
I used to ask: why do people smoke?
Then one day, something clicked. 💡
What actually happens during a craving?
You inhale deeply, hold it… then exhale slowly.
It’s basically a breathing exercise. 🫁
So maybe it’s not just about the cigarette.
Maybe it’s about the pause. The release. The breath we didn’t realize we needed.
That realization shifted everything for me.
And okay… I didn’t start smoking 😆
But I did find something fun—bubble “ci******es.”
Same inhale, hold, exhale… but instead, you blow bubbles. 🫧
Same rhythm. Way more fun. Way less harmful.
Full circle moment: in high school, I even wrote and acted in a play about being bullied into smoking.
I guess part of me always knew…
Sometimes the habit isn’t the real issue.
Sometimes, it’s just a breath we forgot to take. 💨
