Spent the morning cleaning out my freezer. Found some chicken breasts, and wraps. So decided to put the chicken and salsa in a crockpot today to simmer and shred for tomorrow’s dinner.

I love this as it’s also freezer friendly, so I’m making two. One to freeze for later.

*4 egg whites/ 1 egg omelette with light cheese and smoked ham. Spritz of olive oil in pan.
*Light 0% yogurt with psyllium on the side.
*Extra ham
And he he did have a small slice of toast

369 calories 45 grams of protein.

Hopefully this keeps him feeling full!

He would normally have hash browns, bacon, eggs, toast with butter! So one step at a time. 😉

Happy New Years! 2026!

Unfortunately I won’t be teaching any Spin classes for awhile. 😐

The mountain won the battle yesterday! First time needing ski patrol to get me off the mountain in the sled.

It sounds like a MCL tear, as I heard the pop when I went down yesterday morning. Just letting it heal for now.
Following the doctors orders.

Hey there my friends!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas holiday and getting prepared for a fantastic new year!

❓⁉️A little update , as you can see I stopped doing strength training. 😟
I saw my neurosurgeon in Hamilton on December 12th for my spinal stenosis, and he told me I should stop the weights for now, and get serious with core strength instead. Start physio and if needed injections into my spine to reduce my pain.

So that is the plan.

Good news, I can still do cycle classes, walking (especially on incline, ) and downhill skiing as it involves some forward flexion.
Takes the pressure off of my back.

So I’m really enjoying these core videos and wanted to share. As don’t we ALL need a good solid core?

My Story

My past- I was a Registered Nurse that worked with the dying, palliative care. I retired from Nursing 17 yrs ago now- to raise my children and that was where I began to fall in love with Health, Food and Fitness.

I became a Group Fitness Instructor, then onto a Personal Trainer, via the YMCA, where I continue to Volunteer as a Group Cycle Instructor every Friday morning. I have been in the Fitness Industry for almost 7 years now. WOW! Time flies!

Education and continuously learning new things excites me- I took a few more courses over the years. Yoga- level 1- POUND Pro, Tabata Bootcamp, Kettlebells and my biggest accomplishment-I became a Spartan SGX Coach. I keep ALL of my credentials up to date each year. Something I value. My clients are important to me, and I must give them my 100% ( I tend to feel like a mama bird!) but I LOVE seeing success and growth in others. The whole package. Physically, Mentally, Emotionally.

My other passion is FOOD and cooking - so I love to create new recipes and find the best way to make a meal as healthy as possible, without losing flavour and keeping it exciting to the taste buds. I love wine and travel. Finding a balance is key! Living life, but also living healthy. I am happy to excited to help others do the same!
