Remember those healthy chicken enchiladas!? Well I froze some so I’d have a meal to pull out of the freezer during recovery.
Worked out so well, and I was able to scramble around to make a salad.
First time sitting in the dining area post op.. hubby poured us a nice glass of wine. 🍷

Happy family day! Made the best out of the weekend in Collingwood ….got out, learning how to adapt on crutches, had coffee with the girls, lunch with another couple, and lunch with family today…. ( thanks to my driver)

Breakfast while watching the Olympics! 🇨🇦🥳

Did you know you can make a poached egg by simply putting some water in a mason jar, add the egg. Microwave on high for 1 minute. Voila!

We tried it today, but hubby thought it needed 10 more seconds. 🤨
It would have been perfectly runny if he hadn’t.. but good to know. I love poached eggs, just not the work.

Three times a day for the first 2 weeks. Followed by ice.

Water, meds, vitamins, fiber, coffee with collegen , veggie egg white omelet, followed by my current “ exercise program”. 😅 . I’m so happy that my right leg is strong enough to do a pistal squat to get down on the floor. I highly recommend practising this technique exercise, you never know ladies! ☺️
Really watching my nutrition. I weighed myself prior to surgery, hoping not to gain ( any or too much ) weight during this recovery. ( good luck with a nurse that loves to cook 🧑‍🍳 delicious foods for me though!)

My Story

My past- I was a Registered Nurse that worked with the dying, palliative care. I retired from Nursing 17 yrs ago now- to raise my children and that was where I began to fall in love with Health, Food and Fitness.

I became a Group Fitness Instructor, then onto a Personal Trainer, via the YMCA, where I continue to Volunteer as a Group Cycle Instructor every Friday morning. I have been in the Fitness Industry for almost 7 years now. WOW! Time flies!

Education and continuously learning new things excites me- I took a few more courses over the years. Yoga- level 1- POUND Pro, Tabata Bootcamp, Kettlebells and my biggest accomplishment-I became a Spartan SGX Coach. I keep ALL of my credentials up to date each year. Something I value. My clients are important to me, and I must give them my 100% ( I tend to feel like a mama bird!) but I LOVE seeing success and growth in others. The whole package. Physically, Mentally, Emotionally.

My other passion is FOOD and cooking - so I love to create new recipes and find the best way to make a meal as healthy as possible, without losing flavour and keeping it exciting to the taste buds. I love wine and travel. Finding a balance is key! Living life, but also living healthy. I am happy to excited to help others do the same!
