A personal post for international women’s day!

This day is meant for recognition of equality for women & their rights. I could write a novel about all of the reasons women deserve better in this world & all of the ways I could change the views of those who mistreat them, however I’ll speak personally instead….
It’s the women in my life who do the saving!
It’s the women in my life who inspire, motivate and give me the drive to overcome & keep moving forward.
It’s the women in my life who challenge my stubborn ways, call me out on my mistakes & love me more than I know how to receive.
It’s the women in my life who are constantly striving for peace.
It’s the women in my life who survive and teach me, unknowingly to them, how to move through difficult situations.
It’s the women in my life who teach me new things, give me fresh ideas and aspire new recipes, traditions and values.
It’s the women in my life who show strength, who show raw emotion, who aren’t afraid to share, cry, vent and admit they’re tired.
More specifically, it’s my daughter who gives me reason EVERY single day to do better, be positive & possess the strength required to ensure her positive stance as a confident women in future. ♥️
The women that are in my life are genuine, supportive, strong & motivated to succeed.
The women I connect with don’t back down and aren’t afraid to speak their minds. I admire their authenticity in this world and their ability to spread light AND fire - whatever is appropriate for the situation. 🔥
The women I connect with understand that being positive is healthy, but also know that some days are s**t and that’s ok too. They aren’t afraid to curse mistreatment, call it out and stand firm in who they are.
They understand that their identity isn’t defined by what this world tells them they should be, but rather standing proud in whoever they hell they want to be💪🏻

And somehow through all of the roles they play, no matter how difficult, they start each day with renewed hope, strength & love to give their families.
Thank you to the women in my life who aspire me to be the woman I am in mine ♥️♥️♥️
