Why do I love the practice of Yoga?
As a woman in her 40’s in the throws of perimenopause, managing an autoimmune disease, a homeschool mom to a very active 5 year old, all while running a small business - yoga is my constant. I may not always be able to get out for a run or have energy to do a weighted workout but yoga is my safe space. I have rolled up mats in every corner of my house, because let’s be real - sometimes you don’t have time for the “picturesque” yoga practice! I roll out a mat in the morning for 15 mins or after my daughter has gone to bed. Even if I’m dead tired it’s my comfort, it’s my release.
Yoga has provided me with physical benefits like strength and mobility, which as we age is super important! But it has also provided me mental clarity, emotional release, self esteem and better sleep!
