We are so grateful for all of the Healthcare Hero nominations that are coming through! This community keeps showing up, honouring the staff at Brightshores for their incredible work and putting smiles on so many faces.

Today, we are recognizing staff members in the ICU. Their nominator expressed that she could not just pick one individual person as a hero, because the whole department was! Recognition was made because each and every person was kind, empathetic and professional. Thank you to the entire ICU team!

A big THANK YOU to the wonderful individuals that are part of the Harrison Park Seniors' Centre ❤

Last week, Gwen and Joan of the Harrison Park Seniors’ Centre stopped by the Foundation office to present us with a cheque for $2,000 to be put towards the Rehab & Stroke Department at Brightshores. Their donation came from proceeds collected from daily activity fees, room rentals and various other incoming funds.

This kind of community-driven support means so much to us! Thank you so much Harrison Park Seniors' Centre for choosing Brightshores and making a difference in local healthcare in our community.

Congratulations to the Women and Child Care Unit (WCCU) at Brightshores for always going above and beyond. The department was recently recognized as Healthcare Heroes for the exceptional care that they provided to a grateful family.

Thank you to the entire staff on WCCU for all that you do. Not just today, but everyday!

The annual Band-Aid cup brought excitement and friendly rivalry as doctors and staff faced off on the soccer pitch for the 20th year of the event. This year the staff team came out on top with an impressive 4-0 victory.

Leading the charge was Micheal Smith, who delivered a stunning hat trick to put the game out of reach with another excellent well taken goal by Tyler Fassl. The referee award this year went to someone on the staff team who they felt was a solid all-round performer and had relentless energy, Sarah Blake from the ED in Southampton.

Special mentions should go to Jonathan Thomas for excellent diving efforts in the Doctors goal, as well as the three medical students who brought the average doctors age down considerably 😊.

The trophy this year was passed from the Doctors Captain, Will Doelman, to a very happy staff captain Ryan Turner at the end of yet another very successful soccer evening.

Thanks to all staff and doctors who participated with a total $300 was provided to Brightshores Owen Sound Foundation.

Thank you to Cobble Beach Concours d'Elegance for once again driving excellence in local healthcare. With their support our 50/50 was a huge success! Lucky ticket #0278 belonged to Frank M. of Keswick. He will be taking home over $8,000!

We are so grateful to everyone who purchased tickets at Market and Motors, Cars and Coffee and Concours d'Elegance. Proceeds support the new CT Scanner at Brightshores Owen Sound Hospital.

We are so excited for tomorrow! Find us at the Brightshores tent in front of City Hall selling 50/50 tickets as part of Cobble Beach Concours d'Elegance's Cars and Coffee and Concours d'Lemons shows.

Last year's winner took home $4,870! Proceeds support the new CT scanner at Brightshores Owen Sound Hospital. Driving better care in Grey Bruce.
