The incredible women of Bernie's Boat Dragon Boat Team are donating $5,000 to support breast cancer patients here at Brightshores Owen Sound Hospital. Many Oncology staff were present for the cheque presentation. First formed in May 2024 the team now includes 60 members and is a registered charity. Members paddle to heal, to gain strength, and to help reduce the risk of breast cancer recurrence. Thanks to generous community support, the team now has its own boat and paddles on the Saugeen River in Southampton.

We want to say a huge thank you to this amazing team and encourage all breast cancer survivors to consider joining Bernie’s Boat. More information is available at www.berniesboat.ca.
