Thank you to Mildmay Carrick Public School for hosting our first Talk Today presentation of the season! Your staff and students were incredible hosts. Your students had the most insightful, thoughtful questions for the Attack players. Not to mention incredible ball hockey skills! That was hands down our closest score in 10 years of Talk Today presentations!

Here's just a few of the questions the students had for the Attack players:

The statement "It takes a village" couldn't be more true than ever in 2025! We are all in this thing called life together and it truly takes a community effort to support our communities. Our team was honoured to host a nickel jar for Owen Sound Hunger and Relief Effort. We can't wait to hear the total raised at the One Million Meal event next week!

A huge thank you to Jackie and the team at CMHA for collecting 2775 nickels. Thank you so much for all you do for our community!!! And for helping us to share!!! Stay tuned for an updated total!!!

Our team is honoured to be hosting a Nickel Jug for Owen Sound Hunger and Relief Effort. At that time, we will return the jug to OSHaRE when we attend the bi-monthly F.A.M. Market. You may see us out and about with the jug as we attend different community events over the next week including the Wiarton Homecoming event this Saturday.

How much do we love being invited to attend community events and talking to people about youth mental health do you ask? THIS MUCH! Thank you to the Wiarton Salvation Army for inviting us to bring our Shaved Ice machine to the most recent Grub Hub event at Bluewater Park. We LOVED meeting and talking to all the children, youth and families that attended!

The Youth Awareness team attended the Owen Sound Municipal Non-Profit Housing Corporation annual resident summer BBQ yesterday. The team provided some tasty cool shaved ice treats. Of course the team brought information to promote the upcoming Teddy Bear Picnic August 29th and the bi-weekly F.A.M. Market at OSHaRE. You too can enjoy a tasty treat and gather information about these two events this weekend at the Hottest Street Sale in the Owen Sound River District. It's going to be a HOT one!

Join CMHA Grey Bruce, Bruce County, and many other local service providers for the annual Bruce County Outreach Extravaganza on Thursday, July 17th between 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. in the Maple Square Mall Backyard (515 Goderich Street, Port Elgin).

Learn about local resources to help support you and your family with: Housing, finances, food, mental health, addiction, and child & youth services.

Members of the Youth Awareness team had an amazing time handing out glitter rainbow tattoos to walkers and participants of the Owen Sound Pride Parade on Saturday afternoon. The upside of the rain is that it provided unlimited water to apply the tattoos!! 😁😉🌨 Kudos to all the walkers, participants, organizations, spectators and ESPECIALLY the organizers of the parade! Your joy in community, enthusiasm for the day DESPITE the rain, hope for a bright inclusive future and Pride in awareness building was evident!
