We decided to join the fundraising efforts for the Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY). This year, staff from Cedar Cottage Counselling, with thousands of Canadians across the country, will be walking and fundraising to support people and families experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness in our community.

ONLY 6 SPOTS PER TRAINING! - Almost 3 years ago I was the only one doing this in my area, now I'm the first Ontario-based trainer. And I've had a chance to partner with prestigious universities this past year but I'm always going to be most excited (and perhaps brag the most about) the ART community we've grown here at home, because these were the colleagues and clients who took a chance on a modality and supported me every step of the way toward being able to teach this. And I'm thrilled to be partnering with one of my earliest mentors from back in placement and one of my first trainees, Amie Foster at Cedar Cottage Counselling who supported me in getting this, saw the value in it, and who is now one of the amazing ART clinicians assisting me at trainings.

Come to Owen Sound this Spring/Fall and see what all the fuss is about. The resolution will not be televised - this is only in person :)

We had a great time with Loon Call Creations at our most recent beading workshop. We worked on creating beaded ornaments. We had a full house and it was wonderful to see everyone's creativity!

🎁✨ It’s back... our second annual Gift of Giving for our Participants! Last year you filled hearts and stockings, and we’re hoping for even more love this season. 💖

This campaign is all about little joys and personal treats, things our Participants actually want for the holidays, not just everyday needs. Many items are under $10, so it’s easy to join in! Here are some sweet ideas to spark your shop:
• ☕ $5–$10 Tim Hortons or Dollarama gift cards (top request!)
• 🍬 Sweets and candy
• 🧦🧤 Brand new socks and mitts
• 🖍️ Markers and colouring books
• 💅 Hair ties, brush, nail polish
• 💌 Christmas cards addressed to “Participants of Safe ‘N Sound”
• 🍵 Individually packaged teas, coffees, or hot chocolate
• 🛁 Bath bombs, perfume, or body lotion
• 🎨 Small art supplies or something that simply shows you care

On Transgender Day of Remembrance, commemorated on November 20, we come together to honour the memory of transgender, Two-Spirit, and non-binary individuals whose lives have been tragically lost to acts of anti-transgender violence.
