So what do PTs actually do? We asked Soubaghya, a PT from the Toronto office, how she would convince someone to join the physiotherapy profession: "If you love helping people regain their functional independence, decrease pain and see them achieve their goals, consider the self-satisfying and rewarding career of a PT, where we fill the gap and make a difference." Sounds like Soubaghya and her fellow PTs are quite literally 'closing the gap' for our clients (see what we did there?!) Happy Physiotherapy Month!

May is National Physiotherapy Month in Canada. We asked Sam, a Physiotherapist from our Toronto office who works primarily with paediatric populations, to tell us what keeps him going: "Physiotherapy is the last hope for parents to achieve their child's Gross Motor Goals. My favourite moment is to see the parents' excitement when their child takes their first step." We appreciate you, Sam, as well as all of CTG's passionate PTs!

Happy PSW Day! We are grateful for the commitment and kindness our PSWs extend to clients and families. Often, interacting with a CTG PSW is the highlight of the day for a client. For Natasha, a PSW from the Timiskaming office, this moment stands out: "The moment that I remember the most is when I was told by a client that seeing me makes their day better. I only hope that I can make every day better and a little brighter for all my clients. They are individual people. I enjoy being a PSW." Thank you, Natasha!

Kaitlyn is a valued Personal Support Worker (PSW) at Closing the Gap. She has worked at our Kirkland Lake office for over 10 years. In honour of PSW Day tomorrow, we asked her to share what she cherishes most about her job: "I especially enjoy the laughter, jokes, and singing with clients, and the smiles and appreciation I receive. It is rewarding to know that clients' families feel reassured knowing I am caring for their loved ones." Thank you, Kaitlyn!

Happy Nursing Week! This year's theme is, "Raising Our Voices. Speaking the Truth." At CTG, this theme could not be more reflective of the Nurses we have as part of our Team Made for Caring. They show advocacy, courage, and compassion to team members, clients, and families on a daily basis. They are the trusted voices at the heart of people's homes, and they embody the very best of nursing. On behalf of CTG team members, clients, and families, thank you, Nurses!
