A Nurse Practitioner can: • Assess, diagnose and treat problems like: skin, throat, sinus, ear, respiratory, eye, urinary tract and sexually transmitted infections, diabetes, hypertension, asthma, COPD, acid reflux, allergies, constipation, dehydration, diarrhea, back pain, fever, joint pain, rashes and more • Prescribe and administer basic travel vaccinations • Provide prenatal and postpartum care • Order screening tests for breast, cervical and colorectal cancer • Order lab tests and diagnostic imaging • Renew and prescribe medications* • Refer to specialists and other health care professionals
