A wonderful opportunity 💕

Attention families across Grey Bruce with a baby who will be 2-4 months old in October!
Your family could make a lasting difference in the lives of children in your community!
Roots of Empathy is centred around your baby becoming the ‘Tiny Teacher’ in a classroom. Volunteer Parents bring their babies into a classroom, and guided by a Roots of Empathy Instructor, the children are encouraged to read your baby’s emotional cues and take your baby’s perspective, which can lead to the development of prosocial skills such as empathy and inclusion.

We’re Going To Miss You, Meg!

Megan is spreading her wings and seizing an opportunity in Toronto starting in June!

Meg has been with us since February 2024 fresh out of school. In that time she has become a confident and sought out therapist. She has also pursued her Personal Training certification and dedicated herself to her own fitness goals.

We have always said that we hope the only reason one of our clinicians leaves CONNECT is to pursue a dream that is bigger than us, and here we are watching one of those clinicians fly the nest. We’re sad, we’re proud, our hearts hurt, and they’re so full, congratulations Meg, we can’t wait to see the heights this takes you too!

Meg will be available until May 29th, after which point her patients will be able to book with James for ongoing care, or we would be happy to connect you with other wonderful therapists in our community.

Good Luck Megan!

Today marks 6 years since we first opened the doors at Connect. 🎈 👏🏻 We’ve experienced exceptional growth in that time, and we’ve done so while holding tightly to the vision we started with: creating a space where people go to reclaim their lives, to move towards a better version of themselves, beyond just getting out of pain.

To honour these last six years, here are a few reflections on how far we’ve come:

We grew more than we thought we would... a lot more! From a team of 3 to 16, if you build it they will come!

We found our groove and our role in people’s lives, particularly in women’s health

We love what we do, and who we do it with

And we’re not done yet! Read more 👇🏻

Our Story

CONNECT Rehabilitation | Yoga | Fitness was borne from the dreams of two physiotherapists who wanted better for their patients.

Stephanie Sollazzo and Clare Donaldson treated very different patients, with very different approaches, but in conversation they quickly realized that their underlying philosophy was the same: movement is medicine, exercise is king, and every single patient should be empowered to take control of their own health, no matter what age, fitness level, or diagnosis they might have.

Enter: CONNECT, a modern approach to an old problem. Our mission is to help every patient go from a state of pain or injury, beyond the point where that pain is gone to actually achieve a state of health - rather than just non-injury.

We aim to create a community of health that lives on a continuum: from 1:1 rehabilitation to regular group fitness and yoga classes, and everything in-between. Even if you’re not injured, join us for a class, join us for a workshop, let us help CONNECT you and your health.
