Good morning GOOD MORNING!
What a beautiful spring day! With cool crisp air and warm bright sun shining down.
I don’t know about you, but I sure could use a massage therapy treatment right about now!
After 4+++ weeks ( what feels like forever ) of physical distancing, staying at home, self isolation, quarantine, cleaning, deep cleaning, organizing, rearranging, gardening/yardwork, baking/eating, binge watching, etc. etc.
And especially for all those essential/frontline workers, first responders, truckers, store clerks, delivery personnel, and all those working overtime to ensure the safety and essential needs of our communities are met and keeping our society going during these “unprecedented times”
!!AND THE STRESS OF IT ALL!!!
Here are a few tips to help you cope/manage your body to prevent any further added stress.
Firstly, STAY HYDRATED!!
Our body’s natural response is to protect our vital organs at all costs, which leads to dehydration in our extremities and causes stiffness, soreness, aches and pain. Staying hydrated will increase circulation throughout our whole body and keep our muscles and joints supple.
Secondly, STRETCH REGULARLY!!
As Sir Isaac Newton famously said,
“An object in motion will stay in motion and object at rest will stay at rest”
Consistently stretching our whole body will increase and maintain range of motion throughout our joints and muscles, increase circulation and stimulate our nervous system to function efficiently.
Lastly, try Jacobson‘s Technique OR Deep Diaphragmatic Breathing.
There are many instructional videos available on YouTube/The World Wide Web to guide you on how to SAFELY and effectively practice these techniques from the comfort of your home.
Hope this helps you all in managing/maintaining your mental and physical health. If you have any questions regarding these techniques and simple steps or any massage therapy needs please feel free to ask and I’ll be happy to answer your questions.
Please share/pass this along to all your friends and family as this maybe beneficial to someone you know.
Till next time enjoy today,
TAKE CARE & STAY SAFE!
