Chiropractic Tips for Farmers: Based on recommendations from the BC Chiropractic Association (BCCA) and related Canadian chiropractic resources for physically demanding work, here are key tips for farmers to avoid injuries and manage back pain:

1) Bend Your Knees: When lifting heavy items like feed bags or equipment, bend your knees rather than your back, and use your leg muscles to rise.
2) Keep Loads Close: Carry heavy items close to your body to reduce strain on your spine.
3) Pivot, Don't Twist: Never twist your back while lifting or carrying, especially when moving between machinery or handling livestock. Pivot your feet instead.
4) Split the Load: If a feed bucket or crate is too heavy, break it into smaller loads or get help.
