🦴 Osteoarthritis leads to the deterioration of cartilage and the bone it protects, but the body isn't able to repair that cartilage damage. It's not caused by aging, but it stems from abnormal, prolonged pressure on a joint (for example, repetitive use or obesity).
🦴 Rheumatoid Arthritis is an autoimmune disease in which the immune system mistakenly attacks the cartilage covering the joints, leading to inflammation and joint damage. Some factors that increase the risk of RA include genetic predisposition, smoking, and certain infections that attack the joints.
