Felt a sudden pop in your calf and now pushing off your foot feels strange? 👀🦵

One quick screen we use for a possible Achilles rupture is the Thompson Test. When the tendon is intact, a gentle squeeze of the calf should cause the foot to point downward. If there is little or no movement, that is when we become more concerned about a rupture.

It is simple, quick, and gives us helpful information right away.

If you are dealing with sharp calf pain, swelling, or difficulty pushing off when you walk, do not brush it off. Get assessed and find out exactly what is going on. 💡

How do you actually keep your knees healthy at any age? 🌱

It’s not about avoiding movement or being “careful forever.” Healthy knees are built by teaching them how to handle load over time. Knees are designed to bend, straighten, and carry your body through daily life.

What really supports knee health is strength through the quads, hamstrings, and hips, controlled movement through full ranges, and gradually exposing the knees to things like stairs, squats, and impact. Consistent activity matters far more than taking long breaks.

There’s no age limit on building knee capacity. With smart progression and regular movement, knees stay confident, capable, and resilient for the long run.
