✨ The Power of Sound ✨

Everything in the universe vibrates — including you.
Your cells, your thoughts, even your emotions emit measurable frequencies. When those frequencies become irregular or chaotic, we experience imbalance—manifesting as anxiety, fatigue, tension, or disconnection from ourselves and others.

From a scientific perspective, sound healing works through entrainment — the process where rhythmic vibrations synchronize brain waves, heart rate, and respiration with external frequencies. Studies in neuroscience and physics have shown that sound can lower cortisol levels, activate the parasympathetic nervous system, and even influence cellular activity.

The gong produces a full spectrum of overtones—rich layers of frequency that vibrate through the body, releasing energetic and emotional blockages. Similarly, crystal singing bowls create pure, sustained tones that correspond to specific chakras and resonance frequencies within the body. These sounds encourage the body to shift from “fight or flight” into “rest and repair.”

When I play, I’m not simply creating music — I’m creating medicine through vibration.
Each tone moves through the water and tissue of the body (remember, we’re 70% water), harmonizing what’s dissonant and awakening deeper layers of peace, clarity, and self-healing.

🕉 Vibration is medicine.
🌕 The sound knows where to go.
💫 You simply have to receive.

✨ Self-Care Saturday ✨

Today’s reminder: You can’t pour from an empty cup. 🌿
Take a moment to slow down, breathe deeply, and return to your center.

Self-care doesn’t always look like spa days or grand escapes — sometimes it’s:
☕️ Sitting quietly with your tea.
🌲 Stepping outside for fresh air.
💧 Drinking water with intention.
🕯 Saying no when your energy says no.

When you pause to nurture yourself, you raise your vibration — and that energy ripples out to everyone around you.

Take care of your energy today. You are your own healer. 💫

✨ My Kundalini Journey ✨

I first came into Kundalini Yoga in 2017, during a deep period of transformation after becoming a mother. Like many women, I had poured so much of myself into caring for others that I started to lose touch with who I was. I was searching for something — not even sure what — just a feeling of connection, peace, and authenticity that felt like home.

I didn’t start Kundalini with the intention to teach. I simply wanted to heal, to grow, and to find myself again. But what unfolded was far beyond anything I could have expected. As I committed to the practice, I began to experience shifts that felt both subtle and powerful — clarity, energy, intuition, emotional release, and a sense of grounding I hadn’t felt in years.

Kundalini Yoga is often called the “yoga of awareness.” It works on awakening the energy that lies dormant within us — the creative, life-giving force that flows through all things. Through breathwork (pranayama), movement (kriya), meditation, and mantra, it helps balance the nervous system, open the heart, and quiet the mind. It’s a practice that heals from the inside out — physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

In time, Kundalini became more than just a practice for me — it became a path back to myself. I experienced what I can only describe as a spiritual awakening, a remembering of who I am beneath all the layers of life’s noise and expectations.

It’s what made me a believer.

Kundalini continues to guide me back to my center — to my soul. Every breath, every sound, every vibration is a reminder that healing begins within.

🕉 Kundalini found me when I needed it most, and it continues to lead me home.

🌙 Who Am I

I’m Krysta — a seeker, a mother, a lover of sound and soul. My journey with Kundalini Yoga began in 2018 during a time of deep transformation — a true spiritual awakening. It was then that I felt the call to heal, to rise, and to reconnect with something greater than myself.

Soon after, I found the gong — or perhaps, it found me. Its vibration became my medicine, a sacred sound that guided me back to my truth. I played through joy, through tears, through the mystery of it all.

When my mother passed, I lost a part of myself. The silence that followed felt endless. For a while, I stopped listening — to the gong, to my body, to my spirit.

But life, as it does, brings us home again. Returning to Rosseau has been my homecoming — a space where I can breathe again, soften, and return to the rhythm of my soul. Here, surrounded by nature and community, I’m remembering who I am.

Now, I feel called to share this medicine again — through Kundalini, sound, and sacred vibration. To hold space for others as they awaken, just as I continue to awaken myself.

My Gong Journey 🕉

I purchased my gong back in 2018 from a dear friend at the ashram in Toronto. There were many gongs to choose from — but this one chose me. From the first deep vibration, I felt something ancient awaken inside me. I’ve been emotionally connected to it ever since.

I was fortunate to attend a training session with Gong Master Don Conreaux at the Toronto ashram — a moment in time I’ll never forget. It was there that I truly connected to my gong and understood its power to move energy, open the heart, and awaken the soul.

In 2019, I played it for one of the most sacred milestones of my life — the 120th day of my pregnancy, when the soul is said to enter the body. Surrounded by community at the ashram, I welcomed my son’s soul into this world through sound.

In 2020, I played again — this time for my mother, as she was preparing to leave this world. I wanted her to feel peace, to be soothed by the same healing frequencies that once celebrated new life. The gong became a bridge between two sacred thresholds — one entering, one departing.

After losing her, I lost myself for a while. But recently, playing again has brought me back to the light. Each tone guides me home — to my heart, my purpose, and my truth. The sound of the gong continues to bring me back to life.

I’ve played for small groups and private sessions, each one a reminder of how powerful sound can be in helping us return to ourselves. I look forward to playing her again for everyone in the new year — now joined by new additions to my healing sound instrument collection.

She sits in my living room, waiting for me each day — a reminder that vibration is medicine, and that healing begins the moment we truly listen.

✨ Not All Crystal Singing Bowls Are Alike ✨

Every crystal singing bowl carries its own unique frequency — and those frequencies interact with the body in very specific ways. Some tones calm the nervous system, others balance the chakras, and some reach even deeper layers of emotional or energetic healing.

When you attend a sound bath, it’s worth asking your instructor about their instruments:
🌀 What frequencies do they use?
🌈 Are the bowls tuned to specific chakras or solfeggio tones?
💫 What is the intention or effect behind the sounds you’ll experience?

Understanding the frequencies and their purpose helps you connect more deeply with the experience and recognize what your body may be releasing or realigning.

Personally, I chose the Meinl Solfeggio set — each bowl intentionally tuned for healing and energetic balance. These tones have a powerful way of guiding the body back into harmony and helping you feel both grounded and elevated.

Sound is vibration — and vibration is transformation. 🎶💎
