Hopelessness doesn’t always arrive as despair.
Sometimes it’s quieter than that.
A heaviness in the chest.
A sense that the future has gone dim.
The feeling that everything takes more effort than it should.

When hope feels far away, it doesn’t mean we’ve failed at being positive.
It means we’re tired.
It means we’ve been carrying more than our share — personally, collectively, quietly.

We don’t have to search for hope right now.
We don’t have to believe things will be better.
Sometimes the kindest thing we can do is stop demanding light from a season that is asking for rest.

Hopelessness is not the absence of strength.
It is a signal that something in you needs gentleness, not motivation.

So today, let hope be small.
Let it look like breathing.
Like putting one foot on the ground.
Like staying.

Even when we can’t feel it, life is still moving through us.
That counts.

Wherever this meets you, may you feel held in Love and Light 🤍

My Secret Weapon for Bone Health: The Vibration Plate ⚡️🦴
While HRT and heavy lifting are my foundations, I’ve added a "not-so-secret" tool to my daily routine that is a total game-changer: Whole Body Vibration (WBV).
If you’ve seen these plates and wondered if they actually do anything—the answer is a resounding yes.

Lymphatic Health!
One of the biggest wins is something we don't always talk about: Lymphatic Drainage. Clinical research in endocrinology shows that WBV is an amazing tool for reducing swelling and pain. By improving blood and lymphatic flow, it helps clear out the "stagnation" that can lead to menopause bloating, bloating in general and inflammation. It’s like a deep-tissue massage for your internal systems!

Finding Your Frequency:
* Low Intensity (Recovery): Perfect for lymphatic drainage. It gently moves fluid through the body, reducing heaviness in the legs and helping with overall detoxification.
* Medium Intensity (Balance): This level strengthens the stabiliser muscles that are key for balance—crucial as our proprioception (body awareness) can shift in midlife.
* High Intensity (Bone Density): This level mimics the stress of weight-bearing exercise. It’s the sweet spot for improving bone mineral density and metabolic health.

Don’t Just Stand There!
To maximize the benefits, I perform active moves on the plate to recruit more muscle fibres:
* Squats: Forces your glutes and quads to work double-time.
* Planks: Engages the core in a way a flat floor just can't match.
* Push-ups: Excellent for upper-body bone density and moving lymph through the chest and underarms.
The result? Better circulation, less puffiness, and an extra layer of protection for my bones.

30 Minutes to Strong: My Heavy Lifting Shift

I used to think more was better—more reps, more time, more cardio. But as my hormones shifted, my body stopped responding. I needed a new strategy.

The Strategy: Heavy & Fast. Inspired by Dr. Vonda Wright and Dr. Aviva Romm, I’ve traded endless light reps for a "quality over quantity" approach.
The 4x4 Method:
* 4 Sets | 4 Reps
* Weight: As heavy as I can safely manage.
* Duration: 30 minutes total. That’s it.

Mind Over Matter
It was intimidating at first. My brain said "too heavy," but my body needed the challenge. The biggest change wasn't my muscle—it was my mindset. I moved from "I can't" to "I am." It’s pure mind over matter.

The Balance
Following Dr. Aviva Romm’s philosophy, I keep it to 30 minutes to avoid the cortisol spikes that lead to burnout. It’s about sending a loud signal to my bones and metabolism without taxing my nervous system.
The result? I feel powerful, not depleted. Conquering the heavy weights helped me silence the doubt.

Could you commit to just 30 minutes of heavy lifting? Let’s talk in the comments! 👇

Menopause & Insulin Resistance: The Hidden Connection!
Ever feel like you’re doing everything "right" but the scale won't budge, or your energy is at an all-time low? It’s not just "getting older"—it’s likely Insulin Resistance.
According to experts like Dr. Ben Bikman and Dr. Eric Berg, menopause isn't just a shift in s*x hormones; it's a massive metabolic pivot. When our estrogen levels drop, our bodies naturally become more resistant to insulin.
🧠 The Science (Dr. Bikman's Insight)
Dr. Bikman explains that estradiol (the main form of estrogen) is a powerful insulin sensitizer. It tells your body to store fat in "healthy" places (like hips and thighs) and keeps your cells responsive to insulin.
* The Shift: As estrogen plummets, that protection vanishes. Your body starts storing fat around your midsection (visceral fat) to "protect" itself, and your insulin levels begin to climb.
* The Cycle: High insulin locks your fat cells. When insulin is high, your body physically cannot burn stored fat for fuel. You become "metabolically brittle."
🥑 The Solution (Dr. Berg's Strategy)
Dr. Berg emphasizes that you can't just "eat less and move more" if your insulin is high. You have to fix the hormone before the weight will follow.
* Resistance Training: Muscle is your primary "glucose sink." Dr. Berg recommends whole-body resistance training to force your muscles to soak up sugar without needing massive spikes of insulin.
* Intermittent Fasting: Giving your body long windows without food allows insulin levels to finally drop, signaling your body that it’s safe to start burning fat again.
* Prioritize Protein & Healthy Fats: Stop the glucose roller coaster. Dr. Bikman suggests focusing on protein and fats to keep insulin "silent" so your metabolism can find its rhythm again.
Why This Matters Now
If you’re struggling with brain fog, fatigue, or that stubborn "meno-pot," it’s often a sign that your body is struggling to manage blood sugar. The good news? Unlike the natural drop in estrogen, insulin sensitivity is something you can control through lifestyle.

Some losses don’t just break your heart — they rearrange your soul.

When a soul animal leaves, the grief is different. It’s not only the absence of paws on the floor or a body in their favourite spot. It’s the loss of a presence that anchored you in ways you didn’t fully see until the space became quiet.

Their love weaves itself into your nervous system.
Into mornings and evenings.
Into the way you come home.
Into the silence between moments.

And when they’re gone, the grief can feel confusing — even isolating.
Because it’s deep, and real, and all-consuming…yet often unseen by the world around you.

So many carry this kind of loss quietly. They keep moving, keep showing up, while their heart is still reaching for a soul that once answered without words.

There is nothing wrong with the depth of your grief. It speaks to the depth of your bond. A love that pure does not disappear — it changes form, living now in memory, energy, and the invisible thread that remains.

If you’ve loved and lost a soul animal, you are not alone here. You’re welcome to share their name or a memory of them 🤍

Wherever this meets you, may you feel held in Love and Light 🤍

The world feels heavy right now.
You can sense it in conversations, in the way people move, in the quiet fatigue sitting behind so many eyes.

There is so much happening, so much uncertainty, so much we carry that isn’t even ours alone.
And the nervous system doesn’t always know the difference between what is near and what is far — it just knows weight.

If you’ve been feeling more tired, more emotional, more tender than usual… you’re not imagining it.
You’re responding to being human in a human world.

When everything feels big, come back to something small.
Your breath.
Your feet on the ground.
The warmth of a drink in your hands.
A voice you trust.
A patch of sky.

This isn’t about ignoring the pain or pretending things are fine.
It’s about remembering that even in heavy times, light still exists in quiet places.

A moment of stillness.
A kind word.
A small beauty you almost missed.

Silver linings aren’t denial.
They are anchors.

And sometimes, grounding yourself is the most healing thing you can do for the world around you, too.

Wherever this meets you, may you feel held in Love and Light 🤍

The Midnight Dance-Off 💃🛌
Remember when sleep just happened? Me neither. My old nightly ritual? Staring at the ceiling like it was a gripping Netflix finale. 🍿

The Turning Point: HRT
That was me months ago—exhausted and desperate. Then came Progesterone. Often called "nature’s va**um," it replaced the "calm" I lost during menopause. It was like finally being tucked in by a professional. 😴

The "Whole Thing" Overhaul:
Hormones were the key, but I had to clean up my side of the street too:
* The Caffeine Cut: Goodbye, late-afternoon lattes. ☕🚫
* The Wine Trap: Trading red wine for deep REM sleep. No more 3 AM night sweats! 🍷❌
* The Temperature Tango: Comforter on, comforter off, leg out, leg in. Repeat until sunrise. 🔥❄️

From "Ceiling Starer" to "Sound Sleeper," the combination of medical support and lifestyle shifts changed everything. If you're doing the "one leg out" dance right now, hang in there—there’s a way back to rest!

Are you a "ceiling starer" or have you found your sleep solution? Let’s swap survival stories below! 👇

From Shadow to Roar: Finding My Unbreakable Voice.

We’ve talked about feeling like a shadow—the low mood, the anxiety, and the frustration. It’s heavy, and it’s real, but what if this chaotic chapter isn't just about weathering the storm? What if it's actually the crucible where we find the power that was always within us?

The Great Uncovering
I’ve realized something powerful about this journey. Some women uncover this strength early on. Some girls are born with that fierce spark already ignited and carry it throughout their lives, but for the majority of women, this is the moment. This transition is the time we finally peel back the layers and uncover our true power, our authentic voice, and a courage we may have suppressed, dismissed, ignored.

The Metamorphic Shift
For so long, we’ve been conditioned to smooth things over and play small. Menopause has an uncanny way of stripping away our tolerance for nonsense. The "filter" disappears, and it’s replaced by something far more valuable: Truth. Inner Truth. Authenticity. Empowerment.
This is the chapter where:
* "No" becomes a complete sentence.
* Boundaries are non-negotiable.
* People-pleasing is traded for self-respect.
* The roar replaces the whisper.

The Unbreakable Transformation
This isn't just about fixing a metabolism; it's about a fierce, unapologetic strength of spirit. It is the transition from feeling like a "shadow" to stepping fully into the light, commanding respect, and owning your space. It’s not a mood swing—it’s an awakening.

Food for Thought ✨
Menopause is a stripping away of all that no longer serves you, leaving behind the powerful, wise, and truly unbreakable woman you were always meant to be. Whether you've had this voice since birth, found it along the way, or just finding it now, the world is finally going to hear you.

If you’re feeling that inner fire igniting, know you're not alone. We are rising.

Is your voice getting louder lately? I want to hear about your "roar" in the comments below! 👇

Feeling Like a Shadow of Myself ....
For a long time, I didn't recognize the woman in the mirror. It wasn’t just the physical changes; it was a deeper, quieter fading of my spark.

In menopause, the hormonal shift doesn't just recalibrate our chemistry; it shakes our very foundation. We often find ourselves grieving the woman we used to be, feeling like a blurred, muted version of ourselves moving through a world that suddenly feels unfamiliar.

The Emotional Storm
According to the work of Dr. Louise Newson, the psychological impact of menopause is often more debilitating than the physical. It isn’t just "mood swings"—it is a complex spectrum of raw emotions that can make us feel entirely unmoored:
* The Low Mood: A persistent heaviness that feels impossible to lift.
* The Anxiety: A new, intrusive nervousness that settles in the chest.
* The Loss of Confidence: Suddenly doubting the skills and strengths we’ve spent a lifetime building.
* The Irritability & Anger: A "short fuse" that leaves us feeling guilty and unlike ourselves.
* The Flatness: A loss of joy or interest in the things that used to make us feel alive.
We aren't just losing estrogen; it feels like we are losing our "Self."
Food for Thought ✨
If you feel like a shadow right now, know this: a shadow only exists because there is a powerful light nearby.

You are not "fading out"; you are in a transformation. There is a metaphysical shift that happens when we stop trying to "shrink" and start trying to anchor ourselves. We are building a frame that is finally Unbreakable—one that can carry our wisdom and our light.

You are still in there. You aren't meant to be a shadow; you are meant to be the light.

Do any of these emotions resonate with where you are today? Let’s share our hearts in the comments.

Where does love go when the small heartbeat that followed you from room to room is no longer there?

The house feels the same,
and completely different.
The air holds an absence that is heavy.

Sometimes I still see her —
curled in her favourite space,
a familiar shape in the doorway,
a shadow by her bed.
And then the moment dissolves,
and all that's left is the rug,
floor, empty space.

Grief lives in the smallest things.
A piece of her treat still untouched tucked in her bed, that 8 suddenlynotice, but dont have the heart to throw away.
The bench where her harness once sat, now void.
Us returning home— and no pitter patter of paws walking down the hallway to greet.
Nor the "where have you been, and were you with other dogs?" sniffs.
Or sniffing of the grocery bags in case we bought her treats.
Cooking in the kitchen without the soft presence waiting, hoping for something to fall, or just the sitting and waiting, company of belonging........
The list is long, the emptiness is unfathomable at times, all consuming....

It’s strange how a presence so small
could fill so much of my life.

This kind of love leaves paw prints not just on floors,
but on the rhythm of our days,
the shape of our home,
the space beside our feet,
the silence that was somehow noise.

And when the space is empty,
love doesn’t disappear, grief takes its place.
It echoes into the enormity of emptiness.....

Wherever this meets you, may you feel held in Love and Light 🤍

Where does love go when it has nowhere to land?

It moves like wisps of air and vanishing vapour through the body — a heaviness behind the eyes, that seeps through with tears,
a memory that arrives unannounced, and catches in your throat, a silence that feels louder than sound, that beats hard through your chest.

Grief is about what we’ve lost, and also about what remains —
the invisible threads that still bind us to a person, a presence, a time, a version of ourselves, one that once existed in form, and now exists only in energy.

Nothing and no-one that is loved ever truly leaves.
Love changes shape.
It becomes presence without touch, conversation without words, weight and presence without form.

So when grief rises,
it is not here to undo you.
It is love, just love, with nowhere to go, asking to be witnessed, experienced, felt accepted, in its new, and unfamiliar form.

Sit with it, if you can.
Not to solve it —
but to honour the sacred evidence and memory that your heart has lived, and loved, deeply.

Wherever this meets you, may you feel held in Love and Light 🤍
