Meet Ruth, the Presenter for our Quickbooks Workshop happening on April 8th!
Ruth Beattie started Beattie Balanced Books in January 2025. Four months later in April, she left her ten-year finance job at the Georgian Bay Biosphere to focus full-time on her new bookkeeping business. She is dedicated to helping businesses, charities and organizations be compliant & financially
confident. Ruth’s role is to deliver organized books to local accountants who then file the income taxes.
Ruth’s passion for bookkeeping & accounting began early as she pursued her education at Western University. She took a fifteen-year career break to raise her four children. This rewarding experience taught her how to prioritize & develop time management skills which is important in running her business.
By taking refresher courses at Fanshawe College and CPA Ontario, Ruth
demonstrates her commitment to stay current in the field. Her work experience at a local accounting firm for two years broadened her scope beyond the non-profit world.
Beattie Balanced Books provides services in many categories such as PSB/HST tax filings, bank/credit card reconciliations, payroll, training & day to day bookkeeping.
Register today for our Quickbooks Workshop taking place on April 8th, 2026 from 6:00-8:00pm at 91 Water St., Sundridge. Pre-registration is required. Fees are $10 for Almaguin Chamber members and $15 for non-members.
