I am a registered Social Worker with the Newfoundland and Labrador College of Social Workers (NLCSW) and a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). Francis Xavier University, Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Manitoba and Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. We all struggle with the stresses of everyday life and counselling is an avenue to receive help dealing and gain perspective with those issues. I work within the realm of Positive Psychology with a strengths-based approach. I want to help you discover/rediscover the positives of life as well as the strengths and talents you posses to achieve all you want and reach your full potential.

NL Health Services is offering a free, virtual Addictions Early Recovery Group, a supportive weekly program for adults (aged 18+) for those struggling with addiction.

These sessions focus on:

Access to information and resources.

Connecting with others.

Learning tools to move to abstinence from substance use and/or gambling.

This weekโ€™s session is focused on grief and bereavement. Together, weโ€™ll explore:

Community Lifelines: Upcoming ASIST Training in Central Newfoundland ๐Ÿ’š
CMHA Newfoundland and Labrador is offering free Applied Su***de Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) through our Community Lifelines program, supporting community members to build confidence and practical skills to respond to suicidal distress.

ASIST is a two-day, evidence-based workshop that focuses on:

โ€ข engaging in supportive, life-saving conversations
โ€ข connecting people to appropriate supports
