Bear Awareness and Avoidance (Alberta Safety Council)
This course is designed to provide individuals with information on bear

Level I – This course covers working in a confined space environment. Classroom portion only

This course provides the necessary skills to respond to an emergency

This course provides the necessary skills to respond to an emergency situation

Health Care Provider (HCP) CPR – 85
This course is designed for individuals who work in, or plan to work in, the
Health Care field and require the HCP level of CPR. We will cover all CPR skills,
as well as, advanced artificial respiration, use of bag valve masks and AEDs. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age to attend. Class Hours: 8
Health Care Provider (HCP) CPR Recertification – 110
This course is designed for individuals who have a current HCP level CPR
certificate and wish to re-certify their skills. Class Hours: 4
Flag Person (Alberta Construction Safety Association)
This course is designed to provide the necessary information about employer/
employee responsibilities, equipment, apparel and safe work practises and
procedures as a flag person. Class Hours: 6
Certification: 3 years
Forklift Truck
This course covers the theory of safe lift truck operation, as well as, the
safe operation and inspection of a powered industrial truck. Upon successful
completion of this course you will receive certification from PSET. Class Hours: 5

H2S Alive (Enform)
This course prepares students to recognize and identify properties of H2S,
protect themselves and perform basic rescue. This is a mandatory course when
working where hydrogen sulphide may be a hazard. Class Hours: 7.5

WHMIS – Workplace Hazardous Materials (METI)
This course provides the practical application of WHMIS regulations in the
workplace. Upon successful completion of this course you will receive
non-site specific requirements for WHMIS. Class Hours: 3

TDG (METI)
This course is designed for involvement with the handling and transportation
of dangerous goods. Class Hours: 3

Ground Disturbance – Alberta Common Ground Alliance (ABCGA)
Learn-Rite Certified; meets the requirements for the Alberta Alberta Common
Ground Alliance (ABCGA)–Ground Disturbance Stakeholders Committee (GDSC). Directed at anyone undertaking any excavation activity using either powered
