Info about BIE
(Bio-energetic Intolerance Elimination)
aka Allergy treatments

What is Bio-Energetics (BIE)? Bio-Energetics (BIE) is a simple new natural modality that uses a state-of-the-art instrument called the GSR-120 unit that is used to direct energy onto various points on the body to help create a homeostatic state, allowing the body to heal itself, alleviating suffering from identified stressors. Stressors are discordant energies that lead to imbalances in the body creating dis-ease states. Common stressors or stressor type reactions include:
•Food and Environmental Intolerances (Dairy, Gluten, Nuts, Dust/Dust Mites, Pets, Molds, Weeds, Pollens)
•Fatigue – Digestive Issues – Hormonal Disturbances – Sleep Conditions – Behavioral and Emotional Problems

How can BIE help? Once the stressors are identified, the GSR-120 unit is used on various points on the body, allowing the body to heal itself. How many BIE sessions will I need? Generally, it requires only 1 to 4 sessions depending upon the following:
•The amount of bodily toxins
•The strength of the person’s immune system
•The client’s level of hydration
•The stress level of the client

However, several visits may be required to help the body to achieve homeostasis with those who are affected by multiple stressors. Once homeostasis is achieved, there is usually no need for subsequent or yearly visits for the same stressors.

I know some people are surprised when I say this… but I’m actually not against people using AI or Google when it comes to their health.

When used appropriately, it can be a really helpful tool for:

✨ Learning general information
✨ Better understanding symptoms
✨ Preparing questions before appointments
✨ Helping patients advocate for themselves

What I don’t believe is that AI should replace actual medical care, testing, assessment, or individualized treatment plans.

AI can provide possibilities and information, but it cannot fully understand the complexity, context, history, lifestyle, or individuality of a real human being.

As a practitioner, I’m never offended when someone says:
“AI suggested this…” or “I was researching this before my appointment.”

To me, that often means someone is engaged, curious, and invested in their health…and I love that.

When it comes to adrenal health, I don’t believe in simply guessing…

Symptoms like:
✨ Fatigue
✨ Burnout
✨ Anxiety
✨ Sleep issues
✨ Blood sugar instability
✨ Cravings
✨ Feeling “wired but tired”

Can all point toward possible adrenal dysfunction, but understanding why those symptoms are happening is incredibly important.

That’s why testing can be such a valuable tool.

Depending on the patient and presentation, I may use:
• Blood testing
• Urine testing
• Or my preferred option: the DUTCH Comprehensive Test (Dried Urine Testing for Comprehensive Hormones)

This type of testing can provide much deeper insight into adrenal patterns, cortisol rhythms, hormone metabolism, and stress response throughout the day.

My goal is always to identify root causes as accurately as possible, rather than just trying random supplements or approaches and hoping something eventually works.

Proper testing often saves patients:
✨ Time
✨ Stress
✨ Frustration
✨ And often money in the long run

Because the more information we have, the more targeted and individualized treatment can become.

Sometimes the thyroid just needs a little extra support. There are MANY reasons thyroid function can become sluggish or imbalanced, including:

✨ Chronic stress
✨ Nutrient deficiencies
✨ Hormone imbalances
✨ Poor sleep
✨ Gut dysfunction
✨ Inflammation
✨ Autoimmune conditions
✨ Environmental toxin exposure

Over the years, I’ve searched for a thyroid-support product line that truly met my standards in terms of ingredients, formulation, and effectiveness… and honestly, I kept coming up short.

That’s why I’m so excited to now be carrying thyroid support products from LifeChoice! We are carrying 3 different thyroid products.

What I love is that they offer different options depending on the person and what kind of support may be needed, because thyroid health is never one-size-fits-all.

These products pair beautifully with Harmony Tea Co. Thyroid blend. Or the tea is a really simple support that can be used all on its own.

In this video, I’m breaking down the different LifeChoice thyroid products now available in clinic and online, and explaining how each one is designed to support thyroid function in a slightly different way.

I was SO excited about this new product for the clinic that I literally spent the day driving to pick it up and packed my vehicle FULL of butter! I considered just keeping a year worth of supply just for myself, but I thought this is so good. I’m gonna have to share with others. 🤣

But honestly… once I learned more about Notre Dame Creamery and what they stand for, I knew this was something I wanted to bring into the clinic.

Not only is it absolutely delicious, but I love that they focus on:
✨ Simple, clean ingredients
✨ Traditional small-batch churning
✨ Supporting Canadian dairy farmers
✨ Quality over mass production
✨ No preservatives or artificial ingredients

Their butter is made with fresh, 100% Canadian milk and crafted using more traditional methods that create that rich flavour and old-fashioned texture that is hard to find these days.

I’m passionate about helping people think differently about food quality and ingredients, and this is a product that truly aligns with those values.

PLUS… it being incredibly good definitely doesn’t hurt 👏🧈

As we transition from winter into spring, many people notice shifts in their energy, digestion, skin, and overall health.

This season of change can be a wonderful time to support the body’s natural detoxification pathways, especially the liver.

One botanical product I often recommend is HepatoDR by St. Francis and here is why:

✨ Liver function + detoxification
✨ Digestion and bile flow
✨ Energy and metabolic processes
✨ The body’s natural ability to process toxins and hormones

The liver plays such an important role in overall wellness, from hormone balance to digestion and energy production, yet it’s something we often overlook until symptoms start showing up.

Spring can be a great reminder to slow down, nourish the body, and provide some extra support where needed.

As always, supplements are not one-size-fits-all, so it’s important to find what works best for your individual needs.

This is general information and I cannot recommend supplements that are right for you over social media without an appointment. Thanks for understanding.

One of the biggest things I’ve learned throughout my career is that healthcare is constantly evolving…and so should we.

There are opinions and beliefs I was taught years ago that I simply don’t believe anymore because research, clinical experience, and understanding of the body have grown.

That’s not a weakness in healthcare, it’s actually a strength. We SHOULD be willing to learn, question, adapt, and evolve as new evidence emerges.

Health is rarely one-size-fits-all, and the more I practice Naturopathic Medicine, the more I believe in individualized care and looking at the whole picture.

What opinions have you changed your mind on over the years?

Let’s look at what “dysregulated” or overworked adrenals can actually look like in the body.

When your adrenals are out of balance it can show up in a lot of different ways, including trouble sleeping, stubborn weight gain, shifts in other hormones, changes in blood pressure, and even mood symptoms like anxiety or depression.

It’s not just “stress”, it’s your body is responding to being stuck in a stress cycle for too long and what that can do to us.

Luckily it can all be reversed by supporting our adrenals and making some lifestyle changes and many have seen all these symptoms reversed without the need of pharmaceuticals.

Painful or irregular periods may be common, but they should never be dismissed as “just something you have to deal with.”

When Dr. Daria works with patients experiencing cycle concerns, she looks at the bigger picture, hormones, stress, nutrition, inflammation, sleep, gut health, and other underlying patterns that may be contributing.

Often, these symptoms are not caused by just one thing, but by multiple factors influencing each other over time.

“My approach is always individualized and focused on understanding the root contributors first, so we can build a plan that supports the body more systemically and sustainably.”

Have your period symptoms ever been labelled as “normal, common, nothing to worry about” when it’s been affecting your life in a large way?

05/14/2026

“Your bloodwork is normal.” …but are you actually feeling well?

One of the most important things to understand about bloodwork is that “normal” reference ranges do not always mean “optimal.”

Reference ranges are created using large populations of people with many different lifestyles, health habits, ages, and health conditions.

So while two people may technically fall within the same “normal” range, that doesn’t necessarily mean they are both functioning at their best.
A healthy, active 25-year-old and a sedentary, chronically stressed 55-year-old may both have “normal” labs, but those results should still be interpreted in context of the individual person.

Bloodwork should never be looked at in isolation. Your symptoms, lifestyle, health history, and overall picture matter too.

This is why personalized care and interpretation are so important
