☀️ Myth Busted: Why you SHOULD keep using retinol this summer! ☀️
You may think you need to pack away your retinol as soon as the weather warms up. But modern skincare science says: Don’t pause your progress! 🛑
Here is the truth about summer retinol:
✨ Consistency is king: Pausing for 3 months completely resets your skin’s tolerance, meaning you’ll have to go through a gradual introduction again in the fall.
✨ The humidity helper: Summer’s natural humidity actually boosts your skin barrier, making it the perfect time to tolerate retinol with less dryness and irritation.
✨ UV breakdown vs. skin burn: Retinol molecules are sensitive to sunlight and degrade in the sun (making them useless), but they don’t actually make you burn once your skin is used to them.
