Diets are a trap.

Here’s what I’ve learned after decades of helping people reverse diseases:
❌ You don’t need another diet.
❌ You don’t need more restriction.
❌ You don’t need to count, measure, or obsess.

You need to reconnect—with real food and your own body.
Because here’s the truth: once you feed your body what it was designed to eat, it remembers. Your energy comes back. Your skin clears. Your digestion improves. Your weight stabilizes naturally. Your mind gets sharp again. And your spirit lifts in ways you forgot were possible.

It’s about being free. Free from the cycle of fad diets, guilt, inflammation, and confusion. Free to enjoy food again. To feel good in your body. To trust it. To love it.

No more diet culture. No more shame.
Just real food and real healing—one bite at a time.

And if you’re ready to stop guessing and start thriving, we’ve got something just for you 👇

Join our Eat Real to Heal 6-Week Live Coaching Program starting May 6, 2025. This isn’t a crash course; it’s a full-body, full-life reset. With real-time support, coaching, and a community that gets it.

It’s funny when you think about it; how we often search and spend so much time (and money for complex health solutions and spend thousands on supplements, biohacking, or health hacks yet one of the best things we can do for our bodies is literally free: walking.

7,000 steps a day can cut your risk of dying by up to 70%. Get closer to 10,000-12,000 steps, and the benefits skyrocket. But—it’s not just about racking up steps; it’s about moving throughout the day and muscle contraction.

Walking has also been linked to 50% reduction in risk of Alzheimer’s & dementia, lower rates of obesity & Type 2 diabetes, depression & anxiety, lower risk of several types of cancer, better digestion & reduced gastric reflux, and so much more health benefits.
The human body is designed for movement. Think about the Blue Zones—regions where people consistently live to 100+ years. These centenarians build movement into their daily lives. They walk everywhere, garden, cook, and stay active in simple ways.

So, let’s keep it simple: Stand up every 30 minutes or every hour. Walk after meals. Stretch. Take the stairs. Move more, more often. Your body will thank you.

Make walking a daily, non-negotiable habit—it’s the simplest path to lifelong health.

🚀 Your challenge today: Get up and go for a walk right now. Whether it’s 5 minutes or 30 minutes, just move. Then, come back to this post and comment on how you feel after!

A shocking new study published in Nature Medicine has revealed that microplastics and nanoplastics (MNPs) are accumulating in the human brain at higher levels than in the liver and kidneys. Yes, in our brains. 🤯

Microplastics are now everywhere—in the food we eat, the water we drink, and even the air we breathe. The average person unknowingly ingests, drinks, or inhales between 78,000 and 211,000 plastic particles every year. Research has already linked MNPs to increased risks of cardiovascular disease, faster cancer cell spread in the stomach, and potential neurological effects. Scientists are now calling for urgent research to fully understand the impact of these plastic particles on brain health.

What should we do? We can take steps to reduce our exposure. Switching to glass or stainless steel water bottles, choosing fresh, whole foods over packaged options, filtering tap water, avoiding plastic-wrapped produce, and saying no to plastic utensils and straws can all make a difference.

This study is a powerful reminder that the plastic crisis has become a human health crisis—and reducing plastic use isn’t just about saving the planet; it’s about protecting ourselves.

Adopting a plant-based, whole-food lifestyle, like the Eat Real to Heal way won’t be easy at first. It’s about letting go of the processed foods, refined sugars, oils, and salts that are making you sick, and embracing whole, single-ingredient foods. You’ll need to learn how to cook and face questions from family and friends—like, “Where’s the protein?", "What about fats?" or “But fruits are high in sugar!"Even doctors may tell you diet has nothing to do with your health.

In those moments, it’s okay not to have all the answers. You don’t have to explain everything. Just start. Try it and commit to learning. Start reading, listening to podcasts, and taking courses about chronic disease reversal. If someone’s not teaching you how to reverse your diabetes in 7 to 30 days, then don’t waste your time or money. They’re just giving you advice that won’t get you healthy or reverse your chronic disease.

The right program will focus on helping you get off or gradually reduce your meds, make you feel amazing, and ensure it’s sustainable for life. That’s the program you want.

So, when you commit to this new way of life, remember to be patient with yourself. Be kind. Surround yourself with an army of people who share your goal. And when the naysayers come, ignore them. Put on your blinders and stay focused.

And here's a photo of me with a green moustache 😆

93 to 97% of lifestyle-related diseases are caused by our diet. Let That Sink In. 🚨

The foods we eat every single day are the driving force behind chronic illness. Yet, people still say, “Your disease has nothing to do with your diet or lifestyle.”

Wait… WHAT?! Really? What do you mean by that?

80–90 years ago, these diseases were rare—or didn’t even exist. You know what else didn’t exist?
❌ Fast-food chains on every corner
❌ Ultra-processed, refined, chemical-laden foods
❌ Corporations mass-producing “food” designed for profit, not health

You can’t even trust labels that say “organic” or “healthy” anymore. If it comes in a box or package, chances are it’s still loaded with additives, artificial ingredients, and preservatives—designed to prolong shelf life, not human life.

Let’s get one thing straight: Food is NOT just fuel. It’s not just comfort. It’s not just for celebration. FOOD IS MEDICINE.

But only if you choose the right foods. Otherwise? It’s poison.

Most of us eat anywhere from one to three, or four or five meals a day, right? So, what are you feeding your body every day?

It’s time to break free from the protein obsession! 🚨

Most people are NOT protein deficient—if anything, we're consuming more than we actually need. The real question isn’t just how much protein we get, but where it comes from. It's about the protein “package.” When you eat protein, you're also getting everything that comes with it—fats, fiber, sodium, and more. And not all packages are created equal.

🌱 Plant-based proteins come loaded with fiber, antioxidants, and essential nutrients—and without the health risks. So why not choose the option that fuels your body AND protects your health?

Get your protein from plants when possible.

Why You Absolutely Need to Filter Your Water 👇

I’ve spent a lot of time working in government and have seen firsthand the health reports that come through Health Canada and other municipal and provincial departments, especially related to water safety. The government works tirelessly to ensure that our tap water is safe. But even with all their efforts, they don’t always get it right.

The truth is, tap water isn’t clean.

Chlorine and other chemicals are added to municipal water to prevent bacteria and diseases like cholera from spreading. But here’s the issue: over time, the interaction of chlorine with organic compounds in the water can actually increase the risk of health problems.

Water doesn’t come straight from the sky into your glass—it goes through a treatment facility, travels through pipes, and eventually reaches your home. This means it’s been treated, and chemicals have been added multiple times before it gets to you. Even if the water looks clear, it still contains traces of chemicals you don’t want in your body.

So, whether you're on municipal water or well water, it’s important to be mindful of what’s in it. Filtering your tap water is one of the best ways to protect your health. And if you rely on well water, make sure to get it tested—there are no aquifers left without pesticides.

I highly recommend using water filters like Berkey to ensure cleaner and safer water.

I stumbled across a video online the other day, and the message said:

"You can have one hundred or one thousand problems in life until you have a health problem, and then you only have one.

Everything else—money, relationships, bills—fades away in the shadow of it. Suddenly, the things you once worried about seem so small because nothing else matters when your body or mind is screaming for help.

Health isn’t just something you have; it’s everything."

That message reminded me of a truth we often forget: our health is our greatest gift and should always be our top priority.

Often, we let our health slip to the back burner. We promise ourselves we’ll eat better, move more, and rest more—but then life happens, and those promises get pushed aside.

If you’re completely healthy—no pain, no health issues—I celebrate you! Value and treasure that gift. Keep it at the top of your list, because you’re living in a place so many people dream of.

If you're struggling with a health condition, it's not too late. I've had the privilege of working with countless clients who transformed their health by taking action: eliminating processed foods, nourishing their bodies, and prioritizing their health.

They started. And that’s the key. And you can too.

Health isn’t just a privilege—it’s your power. Take the first step today—whatever that step looks like for you.
