Yesterday we celebrated Robbie Burns Day — a couple of days late, but the residents didn’t mind one bit.

We began the day with The People’s Poet, a documentary highlighting the life and legacy of Robbie Burns. In the afternoon, residents enjoyed a musical slideshow journey through Scotland, beautifully presented by local entertainer Jim Beattie.

The day wrapped up with a delicious roast beef dinner (as we weren’t quite sure how haggis would be received!) and a special sweet treat of Cranachan, a traditional Scottish dessert.

A wonderful day of music, culture, and good food enjoyed by all.
