After careful consideration, we know this is the best choice for not only us and our family, but for the benefit of the community as well.

There are new things unfolding, and I, Ally, am truly following my heart - & in doing so it led me to the amazing & talented Brooke from Humble Beginnings Art & Hand Made Goods. She’s an amazing artist, woman, mother, and truly a warrior who has a passion for supporting & working within our community, helping where she can, and now co-creating Bloom with me. Me and Mat have enjoyed this journey more than we can put into words. The adventures we shared with these kids and the wonderful conversations we’ve had with the parents and others in our community has touched our hearts, and we are forever grateful for all of the memories. As well as all of the help, support & donations from many family, friends, people in the community & local businesses! We absolutely will miss The Ivy Project adventures, but look forward to new adventures! Thank you again everyone for all of your support and love! ♥️

A huge and heartfelt thank you to each and every person who stopped by the Pembroke Mall to create a Christmas kindness card that will be mailed to the children at CHEO.

Thanks to your kindness and beautiful creativity, we are so happy (and so very grateful) to announce that we have 38 cards to mail to CFHK Card-Makers Club.

We will be mailing those this week! Thank you again to our wonderful community - we hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and happy holidays! 🎅🏼🎄🥰

Hey everyone, we apologize for the delay in posts and camping trips - It’s been a busy couple of months for our family.

Unfortunately, we won’t be offering our next trip until the new year. But with that being said, we still would like to be involved in our community especially over the holiday season, so we have decided to offer something a little different from the Ivy Project in place of our November/December camping trips - Christmas Kindness Cards 🎄🎁

This was a school assignment I (Allie) did in my child and youth program a couple of years ago, and we absolutely loved creating these (pictures in comments). We thought what a beautiful idea for the youth and our community to participate in. We will supply all of the crafting supplies and handle mailing the cards to CHEO 😊

Happy Halloween everyone! 👻 🎃

Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances we were not able to run our spooky Halloween trip - however we did still deliver the treats bags filled with tricks and treats to the Ivy kiddos who were registered 🤗

We again want to thank the parents and their children for their patience and understanding - life sure does get busy 🙂

Our Halloween trip is this upcoming weekend - it’s looking like we have 1 or 2 spots remaining. First come first serve basis - FREE of charge, donations are appreciated 🤗

Our first trip of the fall season was an absolute blast with a great group of kids!

Some of the skill building activites included on this trip were:

• guided hike up to camp
• briefing of rules and LNT practices
• explored camp perimeters
• tents and tarp shelter set ups
• benefits of being in nature discussion
• self-rescue and situational awareness discussion
• free play - they chose hide and seek in the forest
• lunch break and discussion of tasks to be completed before sundown
• mini shelter building contest using nature
• safe wood collecting, processing and identifying techniques
• fire demo and dinner prep
• chatted about the day over dinner
• fire building using a flint and striker
• discussion around the fire enjoying s’mores
• stargazing
• camp clean-up and tear down
+ friendships, lots of laughs and memories 🤗

Here is a digital briefing for all the youth that do not have the chance or opportunity to make it out to our pre-trip briefings. we've set up a digital briefing so everybody can get a chance to look at the gear that is provided prior to our trips and hear of other optional gear that could be used in future adventures and trips.

New and improved camp rules sheet that kiddos receive in their welcome/registration package! It’s important parents go over the rules with their children prior to trips to ensure a safe and fun trip for all! 🙂

We’ve learned so much from all the kids that have joined us on Ivy Project adventures, and they like to help us improve, update and add their own unique touch to all of our adventures - One of our topics was our (former) Golden Rules Sheet - our 3 Bs at the top have turned into our 5 Bs! One of our Ivy Project kiddos mentioned how being brave is definitely one of the important Bs - and he’s so thankful he was on his first trip because he has now been on several trips and is absolutely becoming a leader on our adventures to all of our first time Ivy Project adventurers 🤗

Also, just a reminder, all trips are FREE to youth ages 8-17. Donations are appreciated but this is something we feel every child deserves to experience if they would like to.

Thank you to everyone in our community for your continued support - we are so excited to get these trips rolling again at the end of the month! 🙂

With the summer winding down we are so looking forward to getting back to camping in the backwoods 😄

Our next trip is set for September 28th - 29th, with 6 spaces available 🙂
