Emi replied, “I’ll be sad, but when we can’t bike, we can ski and ice-skate!” and then she continued on with what you heard in this video, “everything that changes, has a sweet to it.” You see?
Dr. Justin Feinstein is the Director of the Float Clinic and Research Center at the Laureate Institute for Brain Research. Here he discusses the evidence based literature on the effectiveness of Float Therapy for patients with PTSD, Panic Disorder, Agoraphobia, Social Phobia and Generalized Anxiety.
Results showed that one hour of floating in a pod created feelings of serenity that outlasted classic medications by two-fold. These stress and anxiety reduction effects lasted 32 hours before returning to baseline. That's with a single 1 hour Float (imagine using floating as regular therapy!)
The relaxation experience, as compared to the other modalities and techniques these experienced, treatment resistant patients tried, "gave them more relaxation than they've ever felt in their entire lives."
This is what our clients are telling us too. The favourite part of our day is seeing them post-float with a more regulated nervous system, and for some of them a look of confusion as to what just happened because they've never experienced that level of relaxation, meditation, reflection or creativity. That is Float Therapy. We highly suggest you try it for yourself.
