Saffron is a prized spice with an intense yellow-orange colour and powerful medicinal properties. It has been studied for its antidepressive properties and has been found to be as effective as some antidepressant medications for mild-moderate depression. It also reduces PMS symptoms in women, mitigates anxiety, and can help regulate food intake. Not bad for a simple spice! https://bit.ly/3pzdPFh

Saffron is typically used as a spice. Low dose supplementation appears to confer antidepressive properties.

Do you experience soreness and fatigue after working out, or do you have swelling from a minor injury?

A contrast bath is a simple and easy way to ease your symptoms at home.

Simply fill 2 containers with warm (35-45°C) and cold water (10-15°C). Submerge the area to be treated in the warm container for 1-3 minutes and the cold container for 1 minute. Continue alternating between the two containers for about 20 minutes.

The alternating vasodilation and vasoconstriction creates a pumping action and helps to reduce swelling and lactic acid build up.

Contrast bathing isn't safe for everyone, make sure you talk to your physician before trying any self care.

Our naturopathic doctors enjoy working with women to get their hormones sorted out, which often involves some lab work.

Blood work is common and helpful but sometimes it is necessary to dive deeper.

Urine testing is becoming the gold standard for hormonal evaluation and can be used whether you're cycling or menopausal, or that wonderful in-between! 😉

Learn more about the DUTCH test that our naturopathic doctors use by using the link below, or schedule a free Meet & Greet to get all your questions answered! https://dutchtest.com/patients/
