COR Long-Term Care Homes Welcome to the new County of Renfrew Long-Term Care Home page! Miramichi Lodge, located in the City of Pembroke, is a non-profit, 166 bed long-term care home.

It is owned and operated by the County of Renfrew and City of Pembroke and has provided quality care to the frail and elderly since 1969. Miramichi Lodge operates under the direction of the Administrator and is regulated by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care under the Long-Term Care Homes Act 5.0.2007, which came into force July 1, 2010. The Lodge is a non-smoking facility and property. The

Home provides 24 hour nursing and personal care, nutritious meals and snacks, activation and recreation, rehabilitation, palliative and pastoral care, housekeeping, laundry and administrative support. The Lodge has an annual budget in excess of approximately $11M and employs over 200 staff. Bonnechere Manor, a municipal (not-for-profit) long-term care home located in the Town of Renfrew, provides long-term care services to 180 residents. It is owned and operated by the County of Renfrew and City of Pembroke and has provided quality care to the frail and elderly since 1958. In 1995, residents and staff moved to our new, state-of-the-art Home located at 470 Albert Street. Bonnechere Manor operates under the direction of the Director of Long-Term Care and is regulated by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care under the Long-Term Care Homes Act, 2007. The Manor is a non-smoking Home and property. It has an annual budget of approximately $15 M and employs approximately 250 staff.

An outing to Disney World may have been a little far away, so we brought the magic of Disney right to our residents here at Miramichi Lodge ✨🏰

It was truly an unforgettable experience filled with smiles, laughter, and magical moments. Our residents enjoyed visits from Princesses Snow White and Cinderella, face painting by Happy Valley Face Painting, a special appearance from Mickey Mouse himself, and even Cruella De Vil stopped by for the fun!

The day was filled with Disney-themed games, prizes, disney music, and a proper Disney-style food court featuring custom Disney cookies, cotton candy, popcorn, and blue slushies. With Disney music playing in the background, Miramichi Lodge truly became “the most magical place on earth” for the day 💙✨

“The Bonnechere Bike” is back cruising on Renfrew roads for another season of cycling. Day program clients enjoyed the inaugural ride a few weeks ago. We look forward to a busy summer with the wind at our back🚴‍♂️☀️😎

At Miramichi Lodge, we love our “pawsport” visitors! Visiting pets bring so much joy, comfort, and therapeutic connection to our residents. We’re lucky to welcome many furry friends each week — including the wonderful St. John Ambulance therapy dogs.

Last week at Miramichi Lodge, residents, staff, and family members filled the community centre for an overflowing Talent Show celebration full of heart, laughter, and incredible performances. From choir numbers and piano pieces to musical solos, Elvis impressions, juggling, and so much more — everyone truly amazed us with their talents. 🎤🎹🎭
Seeing our community come together to support, celebrate, and cheer one another on made this program so meaningful and special. Thank you to everyone who performed, attended, and helped make the event such a success! ❤️ We appreciate all of the residents, staff and family members who signed up to showcase their talents.
