Welcome to the new County of Renfrew Long-Term Care Home page! Miramichi Lodge, located in the City of Pembroke, is a non-profit, 166 bed long-term care home.

It is owned and operated by the County of Renfrew and City of Pembroke and has provided quality care to the frail and elderly since 1969. Miramichi Lodge operates under the direction of the Administrator and is regulated by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care under the Long-Term Care Homes Act 5.0.2007, which came into force July 1, 2010. The Lodge is a non-smoking facility and property. The Home provides 24 hour nursing and personal care, nutritious meals and snacks, activation and recreation, rehabilitation, palliative and pastoral care, housekeeping, laundry and administrative support. The Lodge has an annual budget in excess of approximately $11M and employs over 200 staff. Bonnechere Manor, a municipal (not-for-profit) long-term care home located in the Town of Renfrew, provides long-term care services to 180 residents. It is owned and operated by the County of Renfrew and City of Pembroke and has provided quality care to the frail and elderly since 1958. In 1995, residents and staff moved to our new, state-of-the-art Home located at 470 Albert Street. Bonnechere Manor operates under the direction of the Director of Long-Term Care and is regulated by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care under the Long-Term Care Homes Act, 2007. The Manor is a non-smoking Home and property. It has an annual budget of approximately $15 M and employs approximately 250 staff.

✔️ PSW certification required
✔️ Experience in long term care is an asset
✔️ Must be able to work flexible shifts (24/7 operation)

📍 Pembroke | 🕒 Part‑time

Miramichi Lodge is looking for a creative and energetic 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 to help deliver meaningful recreation, leisure, social, spiritual, music, and educational programs for residents.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂’𝗹𝗹 𝗗𝗼:
• Plan and run fun, resident‑focused individual and group programs
• Support social, community, and pastoral activities
• Complete assessments and contribute to care planning
• Lead and participate in educational sessions
• Support new staff, students, and volunteers
• Assist with meal service, transfers, and resident outings
• Help develop the monthly Life Enrichment Calendar
• Maintain records, communication, and program documentation
• Promote safety, dignity, and quality of life at all times

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴:
• Diploma in Recreation & Leisure Services (or equivalent)
• Experience in recreation programming, ideally in long-term care
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physically able to support resident activities
• Able to work shifts in a 24/7 operation
• Computer literacy and Food Safety training
• Vulnerable Sector Check required
• Gerontology or Music Therapy background is an asset

💵 Wage: $30.15–$30.61/hour
