Meet our newest Physiotherapist, Farren!

With over 17 years of experience as a Scott Pilates instructor, Farren brings a strong foundation in exercise prescription to her clinical practice. Her approach emphasizes compassionate care, patient education, and personalized exercise programs, integrated with manual therapy techniques. Happy to be back in the Okanagan, Farren is passionate about helping individuals recover from injury and return to the activities they love!

Farren was born and raised in Penticton. After high school, she moved to Montreal to pursue a professional career in dance while completing a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science at Concordia University. Following an injury, she shifted her focus to rehabilitation and earned a Certificate in Human Kinetics from UBC Okanagan followed by a Masters of Physical Therapy from McGill University.

Please join us in welcoming Farren to our Downtown Clinic! She is accepting new patients and has a particular interest in working with clients who are dancers or gymnasts. She is especially drawn to treating foot and ankle injuries, and as a Pilates instructor, she is passionate about incorporating exercise into rehabilitation.

Our Kinesiologist is excited to offer and accept clients with Parkinson's Disease.

Research has shown the benefits to adding Parkinson's specific exercises starting at early onset to delay and manage symptoms promoting neuroplasticity.

Parkinson's specific exercises are like no other. They are large, abrupt, sharp, fierce, and sometimes loud. Adding a fun component to performing an exercise activity.

PD Warrior is a targeted exercise program that focuses on a series of high velocity, large amplitude movements, that address specific physical impairments associated with Parkinson’s Disease.

Parkinson's specific exercises are highly beneficial when the intervention occurs in the early stages of the condition. It promotes sustainable long term exercise habits that have a neuro-protective and neuroplastic effect. It can also improve physical function, quality of life, strength, balance, walking ability and reduce risk of falls.

Feeling tired and week? Increasing your capacity can improve your resilience to life's demands. Here's how a kinesiologist breaks down building capacity...

Building capacity for the physical body means increasing your body’s ability to handle physical demands — whether that’s lifting heavier things, running longer distances, recovering faster, or simply getting through a busy day without fatigue or injury.

Gradually increasing physical effort, along with proper rest and consistency, helps the body adapt and become stronger, improving our ability to handle work, sports, and daily life.

Need to improve your capacity? Kinesiologists can help.
