Thank you to all individual donors, businesses and organizations who have supported the Penticton & District Hospice Society over the past year. Some of our recent donors also popped into Moog & Friends Hospice House.
The Silver Eagle Riders put on their jingle hats and delivered their generous yearly donation to Hospice.
Natalia Castillo from the Sandman Hotel also dropped in with their yearly donation for a one night stay for a family visiting a loved one at Hospice. And the residents of Regency Southwood Retirement Resort donated proceeds from sales in their Tuck shop and from residents and guests at their Christmas Craft Fair in November.
We are deeply grateful to all of our generous supporters and for our wonderful volunteers and staff who provide comfort, care and companionship to residents and families at Moog & Friends Hospice House. Thank you everyone. Wishing you a safe, happy Christmas season filled with warmth and shared with loved ones.

A big thanks to everyone who supported Penticton Hospice Society at this year’s Celebrate a Life at Cherry Lane Mall. Our event has been going on for over 23 years with our dedicated team of Hospice Volunteers. A huge thanks to Hugh, Patte, Torben and Bob who set up our gorgeous festive display and a heartfelt thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers who continue to show kindness and empathy every year to everyone who stops at our table. Lastly, a cuddly thank you to Fred, Fig and Gus our Hospice Therapy dogs who brought warmth and cuddle opportunities at our event. See you next year!

Come in out of the snow to Cherry Lane Mall today and join us at Celebrate A Life. Santa popped in yesterday with his elf and this afternoon we will have 2 of our Hospice Therapy dogs on location. Gus, from noon-1 and Fred, back again in his Holiday sweater at 2pm. They are both cuddlers. And who doesn't love a cute cuddle on a snowy afternoon. See you today! Drive safely.

Drop into Cherry Lane Mall today for Celebrate A Life and meet our friendliest Grinch, Carole. Then between noon & 2pm, Fred, our cute therapy dog will pop in with his Mom. Fill out a card with a name of a loved one and a volunteer will help you change the light from red to white on one of our Christmas trees. Including our pet tree. See you there!

We invite you this week to Cherry Lane Mall for our Celebrate A Life event. Now, until Saturday December 6th. A special time to honour your loved ones. Write their names on a card and volunteers will help you to change the lights on our trees from red to white. On Wednesday we will also have Fig, our volunteer pet therapy dog joining us at our table. Wishing you a wonderful first day of December.

Tomorrow, November 11, 2025 The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 40 will form at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre parking lot at 10 a.m., followed by a ceremony inside the facility at 10:45 am.

A cenotaph ceremony will also be held at 10:30 a.m. at Veteran’s Park in the 100 block of Main Street.

Thanksgiving was extra special this year with a scrumptious dinner prepared by Hospice volunteers. Delicious bacon wrapped turkey and all the fixin's were enjoyed by Hospice residents and families. Even a deer stopped by, as the aromas were floating in the Hospice Gardens. Thank you to all the volunteers who created another extraordinary tasty day at Moog & Friends Hospice House.

A big thanks to our volunteers, Hospice entertainers and pet Therapy dogs who were decked out in their volunteer bandanas Saturday at the Cannery Trade Centre for World Hospice Day. We also appreciated all the lovely prizes from Cannery businesses and being hosted by ONE 14 Coffee Co. It was a fun, socializing day while also learning about the benefits of Hospice care in our community. Thanks to everyone who popped in!

We enjoyed a volunteer tea recently at ONE 14 Coffee Co. with scrumptious treats. Katie, is busy today, rolling out the apple turnovers! Tomorrow they will be hot out of the oven served with whipping cream as part of World Hospice Day at the Cannery Trade Centre, with 25% proceeds to Moog & Friends Hospice House. Our pink tree will be filled with butterfly prizes from 8 Cannery businesses! Meet Fig & Fred, our therapy dogs and enjoy live music with Lara & Ken on guitars. 11-2pm inside the Cannery in front of ONE 14 Coffee Co. Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving!
