Recently, a saddle mapping was done, which clearly shows saddle bridging.
In this single frame, the horse was in the middle of a left hand turn.

Oddly enough, horses often hollow their backs to avoid the discomfort, increasing the bridge degree & adding to the extreme pressure on the loins and scapula.

Our full service shop is well stocked with a variety of high grade cushioning materials. Along with our ability to custom make shims & pads, we can also refine saddle shape & adjust saddles for a more perfect fit. Thereby permitting your horse to perform more comfortably without distraction or detriment from equipment.

Rider symmetry and balance is also assessed through pressure mapping. While in motion, the rider may be videoed in unison with the pressure recording to reveal effect upon the saddle and horse.
