A Million Reasons to Say Thank You! 💙
We are absolutely blown away by the incredible hearts at the Summerland Health Care Auxiliary. They recently presented their final $100,000 cheque for cancer care, marking a staggering milestone: $1 Million donated!

Reaching the million-dollar mark doesn't happen overnight. It takes years of tireless dedication, selfless volunteering, and a community that shows up time and time again. This monumental gift is already changing lives and improving cancer care right here in our region.

The Journey Continues
While we celebrate this massive achievement, we know the work isn’t over. Cancer still affects too many of our neighbors and friends.

The SOS Medical Foundation is moving forward with a focus on early detection. We are currently working to bring tools like Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) to our facility.

A huge congratulations to Maria Quindt, Assistant Manager at the SOS Café, on becoming a Canadian citizen 🇨🇦

This is such a special moment, not just for Maria, but for her whole family, who have gone through this journey together. Tomorrow, they’ll take part in the official citizenship ceremony, and we couldn’t be more proud.

Maria brings so much heart to everything she does at the café, supporting staff, volunteers, and everyone in our community with kindness, care, and dedication. Celebrating her this week with cake, cheers, and smiles from everyone around was a joy.

We recently got a first look at the new servery renovation at the Dr. Andrew Pavilion, and the results are fantastic. This project, funded by our Foundation supporters, is a perfect example of how targeted donations improve daily life for both our hardworking staff and our patients.

We are so proud to announce that the Treasures & Trinkets Gift Shop team at Penticton Regional Hospital has donated $50,000 to the SOS Medical Foundation. These funds are going directly to our Women and Children’s Department to ensure our youngest patients receive the best care right here at home.

A huge thank you to manager June Revell Quevillon and the dedicated volunteers who pour their hearts into this shop every day. You are proof that when we come together, we can do big things for local healthcare.

By investing in the Women and Children’s Centre, we are improving care for families and kids in our region. Whether it is a multimillion-dollar campaign or a daily purchase at the gift shop, every bit of support helps keep care closer to home.
